Yes, it does. We used it on a business train recently to see if it still worked, and it does. :)

We can send the GP69 and the SDP34 now. We'll have to wait on the SD60 and the SD41-2 because they're taking two different freights over CSX Trackage right now. As soon as we get them back, we'll send them up to you.

Ok, If you can hve CSX bring them up, they can be dropped off at our Mt.Clare yard.

Ha i see what happened if i typed the name of a certain eastern RR, it comes up as a certain western RR, very clever :)

Another day, another 2 locos added to the roster.

Maryland and Northern sold us an ALCO RS2 and a GE C36-7. We have refurbished both of them.

The RS2 is mostly black with grey frame striping:

And the C36-7 has the same paint scheme that the GP9 does. And once again, we put the Maryland and Northern name on the C36-7 frame. Thank you again:

Since the merger of the North Carolina Railroad was approved and is now a part of the Carolina Southern, we are going to take a look around their Raleigh shops later on today. We'll let all of you what we find.

The Carolina Southern is wondering if anyone has an old CP 4-6-4 Hudson that we can buy, specifically an MLW CP H-1b 4-6-4. We found some older heavyweight passenger perfectly suitable for out first public passenger train. We are going to start our passenger operations in a few months, so we want to get out first train ready.

Anyways, we found SO much in the North Carolina RR Shops in Raleigh. Almost all of the engines are very rusty, and it looks like they were painted a solid black primer. There are lots of spare parts, and too many diesels for us, so we'll post a list here to show what we're dealing with here:

24 GE fuel tanks (various sizes)
23 GE Prime Movers (3 Dash 8-40C, 10 G3 B40-9, 1 U30B, 9 U30C)
15 EMD Prime Movers 10 SD40-2, 5 SD45)
6 ALCO Prime Movers (5 not for sale)
30-40 Diesel Axles/Trucks/Traction Motors (5 not for sale)
5 Alco fuel tanks (Not for Sale)
16 B40-9s (fuel tanks removed)(4 not for sale)
6 F45C-8s (North Carolina Rebuild Program, used F45s designed to use Liquefied Petroleum Gas as an experimental fuel, failed miserably) (Fuel tanks removed)
3 U30Bs (Fuel Tanks removed)(1 not for sale)
1 EMD GP2UE-1 Slug (Immaculate, Asking $150,000 for purchase)
5 FM-CLC CPA-16-4s (In Immaculate condition, perfectly operable)(Not for sale)

4 250 TON Diesel Cranes (Motors for Crane Cable Missing, Otherwise everything else is there)

We can build you a CP H-1b. Do you want it with CS lettering, or original CP? It will cost $750,000 because we are building this from the wheels up. Let me know what you think.

Ok, we got drawings from CP we are ready to go. Is there a date this has to be built by? Now, at least to our standards, a H-1b 4-6-4 is classified as a light engine, and is also considered, again to M&N standards, a small engine so it shouldn't take to long. I would say that our Cumberland shop forces can churn out a H-1 in about 2-3 months, depending if there's any modifications you want done to the engine. I can see by your rendition, the paint will be basic scheme. When you're ready, just give us the green light. She won't be started right away, because the shops are finishing an engine for another RR.

We need it within the next 5 months. We are starting our passenger service on September 6, 2013. That's when we need it by. :)

Ok, that gives us plenty of time, the Hudson should be done in time. I would assume we are painting it like your depiction?

For the past 20+ years, the M&N have completed locomotives on schedule, but we do offer one of our engines if we dont finish by the set date. We will temporarly paint one of our engines in road were are building for and lease the engine until owners engine is complete. The "lease" steamers are our passenger engines and light duty road units. If our shops think that a deadline cant be met, we will send you a list of steamers that can be borrowed until build is complete.
