Digging deeper into the Mountain of trouble formerly knowen as the C&C we may have found a line to Charleston and onto Washington DC splitting from the main stem just over the West Virgiania Ohio Border and may have a connection to the M&N. More will be released as it is learned due to us just finding it. There was no mention of the line anywhere in the sale so we do not even know if we own that trackage. If we do own the trackage would the Maryland and Northern want to be a interchange partner?

The Marquette Shops have only two GP60-3SLGs to assemble, so we can take your rebuilds from H-E double-hockey stick now.

Let us know when they're on the way. Send 'em via the Monon.

This weekend, we are starting a service that will take fans to the Orioles or Ravens stadiums for home games. There are 4 trains, 2 that run from Pittsburg and 2 from DC. The 4 trains will have 4 of the 5 K4s 4-6-2 steam engines. The O's train will make its first run tomorrow.

Freight traffic has been halted because a M&N company railgrinder will be working on the Washington and Allegheny divisions. MNTX #54 and #62 will be working the railgrinder as will helpers #51 and 52.

We have acquired 2 wrecked AC4400CWs, and 2 P40s. The AC44s will be stripped down to the frame and rebuilt with the P40 carbodies. These new engines after rebuild will be designated PF44AC-H. They will be equipped with HEP if they are needed in passenger service. The 7FDL primemovers will be replaced with 16-GEVo primemovers. When completed, the units will be MNTX 200 and MNTX 201. The PF44s will see service on our "Fast Lane" roadrailer trains between Baltimore and Chicago.
