The Generators are at the interchange, #509 has pulled into the siding and the crew are resting. The load is 2 heavy duty flatcars and a 86ft boxcar. The flats carry the generator and a small backup generator, and the 86 ft is carrying replacement parts.

Roger, we'll send an engine up to get it.

As a side note of interest, #509 still wears ATSF Warbonnet, but the hood lettering has been pained over.

If a Louisville-themed locomotive shows up on the Marquette, don't expect it to come back pristine

So you'd mind if, say, something similar like this: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... ?id=153777
Came out in a few days? We'll see....

Don't let it touch MQT property. Just ask DTI about the OC&M (or was it the GR&P?) "Heritage" unit...

TSCR 8910(OC&M) is rolling puke. Hit a lowboy last year smashe in the nose, repaired now though. This happened just north of Porter on MQT rails.

Actually, if it happened today, the Monon Mainline would be fouled

We'll, hopefully, this won't be be anything like rolling puke...

I'll see what I can do about it hitting MQT rails. Just be warned, our SD40-2s have been known to occasionally be assigned to coal trains.

This morning, the Monon RR announced that it will be teaming up with the Paducah & Louisville RR to pull a special train around the Louisville area. Pulling the train will be CIL 3313 and PAL 3801 (Louisville cardinals unit). So, what's CIL 3313 got to do with this? Currently, the engine is in Hammond, and is being painted in a Louisville Cardinals scheme, similar to the 3801's scheme. It is set to be released at the end of this week. Schedule for the train will be released in the next few days...

Better not include Michigan City. Let us know if it must cross the diamonds. Our head of Train Operations wants to keep an eye on it and make sure it clears alright through Hoosier without the Wolverines getting to it.

The special will just be in the Louisville area, but the engine will eventually get released out into the regular pool again.

The schedule for the joint Monon/PAL has been released. The train will depart Monon's Youngstown yard at 9am Sunday morning. It will run down to the University of Louisville, where a photo op will take place with coach Rick Pitino and the entire Cardinals NCAA team. They will then board the train at 9:50am. They will visit both the Monon and PAL's shop areas, then will head south on the PAL main through the suburbs of Louisville and south to Radcliff. The train will head south at 11:25am. The train will run around in Radcliff at 12pm, and will return north into Louisville at 12:50pm. The team will enjoy some of the fantastic scenery down that way.

CIL 3313, the Cardinals unit, will be released tomorrow morning.

As much as I don't like Louisville(and its NBA prospects) for winning the national title, please get the coach's name right. Its Pitino, not Pinto :)
