Doesn't really matter. But as soon as possible is preferred.

Even though the M&N is all steam, we operate electrics in baltimore city. We are looking for small electrics to switch cars at our new coal dock and some of the warehouses in then City. The requirements for these motors are: atleast 55ft in length, four axle, have atleast 2000hp, and weigh less than 130 tons. We want 8 of these if you can do this. Post on the Cumberland shops thread for details or if have any comments/concerns.

Would you be willing to try something new? MQTX has a ton of old SW7s we're looking to do something with. You could strip out the old prime mover, and convert the traction motors to run on the right current or add an electric converter/transformer in the old engine compartment. Might be a rather easy solution if you need easy electric power.

You know, that is a good idea. We need 8 to serve the new coal dock and a few warehouses. How much do you want for 8?

Something like this was actually built by GMD in the 60's. Called the SW1200MG, they replaced the prime mover with a Motor Generator set. A total of 9 were built for Iron Ore Company of Canada. http://www.northeast.railfan.net/images/iocc431505.jpg

Alrighty. Let's talk price. I think 160,000 for all 8, buyer pays shipping.

You numbers will be:
MQTX 221 [SW9] In ATSF Paint
MQTX 222 [SW9] In ATSF Paint
MQTX 223 [SW9] In ATSF Paint
MQTX 224 [SW9] In ATSF Paint

MQTX 141 [SW7] In ATSF Paint
MQTX 142 [SW7] In ATSF Paint
MQTX 143 [SW7] In ATSF Paint
MQTX 144 [SW7] In ATSF Paint

Now, if you want, our shops can do the conversion for you, at only $2500 per unit (parts not included), if MQT gets to keep the prime mover. We can add any tech you want, as long as you provide the hardware. Shouldn't be too expensive to get the converters in there. We can also paint. We can ship them a number of routes, but the best might be MQT - MONON - MTNC on the B&O.

Or we can build you an electric for 50,000, paint it for you, dual cab, wide cab for safety, and Flexi-coil trucks for smooth riding. Just tell us and we'll build it, plus we can have it done soon since we have no other projects.

Is the AW order for CE19000-6W done already?

Sounds good, MQT can keep the pm's i dont think we'll need them. Since these will be electrics, we would like them to be renamed EL12Sw (Electric Locomotive 1200hp Switcher.) For paint, basic black, yellow letters (Maryland & Northern spelled out on hood) yellow on the walkways, and yellow handrails. Also safety striping on the pilots. We will renumber them. Im fine with the MQT-MONON-MNTC route.

Cool our shop crews will get on it right away. I'm gonna go confirm the Monon Routing now. Also, switch to my thread for updates. Kinda rude to do business on a competitor's thread :)

I know they are out of production, but our chief mechaninc suggested we should get at least one, We already asked GE but they build another one. Could you build a AC6000CW, We can add our mods later. If you could, it will be operated along with our already ordered ES44ACs, AC4400CW, and ES40DC. All we require for it is the 16-GEVo primemover w/ dual turbos (like the 7HDL AC60s). Dont worry about paint, we'll paint it at our shops. We would also like the GE Hi-Ad trucks. Let me know if you can do this.
