I have the "What if paint schemes going" but here are just some drawings I am doing
I started with this santa fe dash 8 a few weeks ago just working on it in my free time
it started like this:
I found a picture of one that was not totally bad like others and went from there
It ended like this

Might as well post the rest I made. MSU GP40-2:

No problem, cant wait to see the bandit! I think I may do an NS Dash 9 next, as I already started it a while ago. Just alot of painting detail parts.... ALOT.

I love the GTW GP38-2 because you used the correct version of38-2 (phase 4 IIRC) and the correct GTW noodle (extended horizontal line on the G).
I think horizontal lines would look better on the MSU GP40-2 IMHO.

Thanks again AARR! The blue is way too bright though (like my CSX switcher)... I just couldn't find the right tone
I guess horizontal would look better... I just did vertical cause it was easier
Started working on a Penn Central GP40 today also. Scrapped the NS Dash 9 idea... More detail parts that need to be painted grey than I had remembered.

ok so the bandit was a piece of work but i like how it turned out
started with a SOO gp38-2
First I had to make a clean MILW engine befor I could weather it
then the finished bandit which I really like
I had to do a few things to the engine to make it correct, had to move the horn and bell, add dynamic breakes, and of course paint it MILW Road first.
used this picture for refrence
