I hope I'm close to what NS does. I think it should be :)

The Wabash will add a new Triple Crown train between Detroit and Kansas City, and also another new train between Fort Wayne and Kansas City. These two trains will begin running on the first of July. Even though they aren't running yet, I'm going to add the trains to the list right now.

I have added the days all of the trains run on the list, as well as "as needed" trains, too.

You are going to have to go through CP to see if they want to let you use a new tunnel/bridge with your purchase of the Ontario line.....I'll let you know what they decide

I don't think I'll be much of a nuisance to CP. I don't think CP has much business out of Detroit to Buffalo, NY.

The Wabash has purchased the other remaining parts of the line through southern Ontario. Next step will be rebuilding the removed portions and upgrading the existing portions that are in bad shape. This will begin when the Wabash finishes building the line into Detroit. Here is a link to the map of the lines that are being worked on:

Outline the entire line for us please :D

You're using the current Tunnel under the river to access Canada right?

FYI, I don't think CP is going to be very easy on you

Can you tell CP to let the WAB have rights or we'll suspend their trackage rights from Chicago to St. Louis...

CP is trying to shed routes that don't fit into their system....talking with their rep today in Detroit they said they were thinking about giving up their rights to St Louis anyway....

CP is not about to let a competitor use our new way over/under the river

Does CP even have trains going to and from Buffalo? And if they do, do they have some major business over there? If they don't want me in the tunnel, I'll just get rights through the original tunnel.

Why aren't they sheding the DME and ICE? Midwestern routes that stray far from the heart of the CP.

The midwestern routes are going to be kept because CP is profiting off them, and they are likely to dump the Thunder Bay- Toranto route anyway. Thereby, they are going thru the midwest anyway, so it's turned into the center of the system.

They have their route to NYC over there that they want to keep....

It's likely going to go like this for the old tunnel if a new route is opened:
North Bore will be leased to another RR if a RR wants it
South Bore will be sold to the Cities of Windsor and Detroit, who would like to use it as a utility connection. The State of Michigan and the providence of Canada are also interested.

The South Bore and maybe even the whole tunnel may be sold to one or more of those govts in exchage for land for a new ROW

MagnumForce helped me realize that opening it is a bad idea. The Wabash will not fix up the line, and instead sell what remains to shortlines(if any are interested), and just work on the line into Detroit only.

It might be a while until I get the map for the entire line finished.

I'm guessing CP is ecstatic that I won't be running trains in Canada.

The DR&EC also owns track in Essex. Mainly south on the actual Essex Terminal down to Amherstburg. I'll have the map up as soon as I figure out how to work the darn thing
