The M&GL is considering starting an excursion train from Grand Rapids to Ionia. It is looking for two F units and some passenger cars to buy.

The MAL engines have been purchased. The search for passenger cars continues.

The station for the excursion train will be at Ann Street/Alpine Avenue by the small yard.

Lets just say it's not the prettiest place in GR (scrap yards, abandoned buildings, homeless camps, bodies in the stream, well, you get the picture....):

I'd put it by the new GVSU campus near Fulton and the CSX Line:

Tip: look at the satillite image first

hind that structure to the left in the second video, is an old station (GR&I? PRR?). That site is PRIME ofr a new station, and the current trackage alignments would be perfect if one was to store two P371/370s there, and is in a good neighborhood alongside the GVSU parking ramp. Instead, our brilliant planning commision will cram it under some highway overpasses
