Instead of MQT owning all of the Annoyance-Porter Line, why don't both railroads both own it. MQT would own the commanding 60%, with the OC&M picking up the other 40%. That would be the share of maintenance we would pay. If one of our railroads was sold or abandoned, then ownership would revert 100% to the other line. MQT would still control planning, MOW & Dispatching. It would technically be a subsidiary of both lines known as the "Southwest Michigan Railroad (SMR)". The railroad wouldn't own rolling stock, or operate anything. It's mainly for accounting purposes
