Early this morning, HPR 209 experienced a derailment due to a washout near Nelson, Ga. The train was traveling at 10 MPH (Track speed) at the time. 3 locomotives and 9 cars were put on the ground. No contents were spilled and no injuries were reported. Most of the cars were carrying stone.
