THE HIGH POINT AND ROME RAILROAD

The High Point and Rome Railroad is a railroad based out of the (fictional but in LEGO form) city of High Point, GA. It was incorporated in 2002. It operates approximately 35 trains a day over 1,120 miles of track.

HPR is divided into 10 subdivisions -
The Georgia sub between Chattanooga, TN and Macon, GA
The Brunswick sub between Macon and Brunswick, GA
The Birmingham sub between Rockmart, GA and Birmingham, AL.
The Etowah sub from Marrietta, GA to Etowah, TN
The Anniston sub from Piedmont to Wilton, AL
The North Alabama division from Birmingham to Sheffield, AL (includes Berry Branch)
The ATN sub between Wellington and Guntersville, AL
The TAG sub between Rossville and Kensington, GA (used only for storage)
The Atlanta sub between Griffin and East Point, GA (With CSX trackage rights from East Point to Marrietta)
The R-Line from Raymond to Columbus, GA

Operations average a speed of 30 miles an hour.

HPR O02 - Macon, Ga to Sheffield, AL - Scheduled Departure 1000 hours. Daily.
HPR O03 - Birmingham, AL to Macon, GA - Scheduled Departure 2100 hours. Daily.
HPR O04 - Macon, GA to Birmingham, AL - Scheduled Departure 2100 hours. Daily.

Intermodal -
HPR 101 - Jasper, AL to Macon, GA - BNSF run-through. Scheduled departure 0400 hours. Daily.
HPR 102 - Macon, GA to Jasper, AL - BNSF run-through. Scheduled departure 2230 hours. Daily.
HPR 103 - Birmingham, AL to Brunswick, GA - Stacks and Autoracks. Scheduled departure 0900 hours. Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
HPR 104 - Brunswick, GA to Birmingham, AL - Stacks and Autoracks. Scheduled departure 1700 hours. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
HPR 105 - Birmingham, AL to Forrestville (Rome), GA - TOFC to Pig ramp - Scheduled departure 1300 hours. Mondays and Thursdays.
HPR 106 - Forrestville (Rome), GA to Birmingham, AL - TOFC. Scheduled Departure 1900 hours. Wednesday and Saturday.

Manifest (Most manifests swap crews to allow a crew to return to home terminal at meet point. Generally do not stop to switch between terminals. Some make quick drop offs or pickups however.)-

HPR Train 21 is running north from Aragon toward Rome. Power is HPR 450, 220, and 708. 216 axles.

HPR Train R2 is headed toward Cagles Grain elevator at Rockmart, 5 mph slow order. CSX 8888 and HPR 510 lead. 16 axles.

HPR O1 stopped for a crew change at Rockmart. HPR 500 and CEFX 6018. 160 axles.

Train Symbols Update -
HPR has a new train symboling system.
First Letter - F or P - F stands for Freight, P for Passenger
Second letter - First* letter of originating city
Third Letter - First* Letter of terminating city
Fourth Letter (Freight only) - First letter of type of freight. C for coal, I for intermodal, E for Ethanol, M for Mixed, and O for Other.
Number - Order in which train has been run

HPR 448 has been repainted into Red and Grey
HPR 300 has been retired

HPR 448 and GMTX 9055 lead HPR F-RDI2 Intermodal train, currently at Rockmart. Caution signal Ollie.
HPR 1,3, and 3 lead HPR P-HPD1 OCS train, currently loading at High Point North. Stop signal North High Point
HPR 700 and 704 lead HPR F-RMHPM7 Mixed freight, currently at Clarkwood. Caution signal Clarkwood.

*Rockmart and Rome create a conundrum. Rockmart is refered to as RM and Rome as R. Also, High Point is referred to as HP.

This is all located in Northwest GA. I dont have a real track map, but I do have this google maps image that shows the ends of the system. Most of the operating is done on the Norfolk Southern Atlanta North District, but HPR owns a yard in Dallas and Rome and some mainline and three yards in High Point. I have some maps of the yards but they dont show the location well, and they're drawn on graph paper and I dont have an image scanner.

CEFX 6018 leads HPR F-RDI1, currently at Fox. Stop signal Fox Diversion.
HPR 1,3, and 2 lead HPR P-RMR1, currently at Bowling Alley (MP 78.1) Clear signal Bowling Alley
HPR 510 leads HPR HPRO1, currently at Green. Clear Signal Green. HPRO1 replaces Extra 510 North, which has been running as an irregularly scheduled scrap train. HPRO1 will run weekly, as well as couterpart RHPO1. The reason the scrap train was almost always Extra 510 North/South before is because 510 was assigned to local scrap duties 2 years ago.

HPR SD70M-2s 100 and 101 have been delivered from EMD, both in standard grey primer with HPR Reporting marks and numbers on the long hood. Will be repainted into current paint scheme by 6/30/2012. Also, HPR will be purchasing 2 B20-8s from CSX. Numbers of CSX units that will be purchased are not known yet. Transaction should began on 6/20/2012.

HPR 100 and 101 lead HPR F-DRI2 Intermodal Train from Austell, GA to Rome, GA. 23 loads, 3 empties, 1 Bad order. Clear signal Dallas. HPR F-DRI2 originated in Austell, GA, outside of the HPR system on Norfolk Southern. It ran as Extra HPR 100 North on NS Rails, then changed to its current HPR symbol at Dallas on the joint NS/HPR tracks.

The B20-8 order with CSX has been cancelled with anticipation of 7-8 GP35s from DTCX.

Ok, well this was not fun but after bargaining with LLPX, They ageed to sell us 9 GP35's. But we have to raise the cost on the lease becuase these are in mint condition and were VERY expensive, plus we had to trade them for DTCX 4.
I'm just here to put in time claims and complain
