NO--- CSX ties them altogether! NO! I don't want a cookie!
and I don't want your GR&P!
Maybe it should be said you are starting to get very irritating and annoying.
the local road crews are out today and tomrrow modifying the crossings for the second track. All trains are to stop and flag. CN will be putting in the new diamonds tonight (we built and payed for them, but they wanted to make sure their service wasnt disrupted, so they paid us so they could install them). No trains on either line from 2200 to 400. Expect a flood of MQT trains before and CN trains after (we made that part of the deal so we wont fight over the diamonds before and after).

Didn't one of your paper RRs buy some at the same time we bought ours? As far as selling them, we need them to free up some of our larger power from the ard service some of them have been stuck doing. Wyoming needs 8 of them alone.

Oh yea the TC&P bought them and sold you the trucks, I forgot the TC&P had hose running around, I think theyre all in Pittsburgh thats why.
M604-14 will be the first train to run over the new Main 1 [The old main has been renamed "Main 2"] between CP East Hudsonville and CP Grandville. The train is currently climbing the hill at East Suagatuck. This train will ensure the signals are working properly EB, then its counterpart, M606 will test them WB. M606 is called for 17:00 EDT. The Main will be fully patched in at 000 EDT, with all trains using EC1s until all the kinks are worked out and the line is compleltly set. If all goes well, the line will no longer be EC1 territoy by 500 EDT.
The siding at Hudsonville and the Run-Around track in Grandville were eliminated, the line get all-new signals, bridges, and mileposts (same location, new post), while all road crossings were upgraded to Gates. The whole line is 60 MPH from just East of CP Grandville to past the improvements in Zeeland. This upgrades the Grandville and Jenison areas from 30 MPH to 60 MPH.
Here is what the new connection with the GR&P will look like. The for-now fix will be the GR&P track coming onto the MQT around where the crossover is shown. When the second Main is added, the junction will be converted to this.
The current MQT line cannot support the proposed 40 EXTRA trains, as it can barely handle 20 or so. Alternate routing is suggested for a while until the line can be doube tracked. Right now, the crews are working between Ensel and Trowbridge, and that will mean track laying crews cannot arrive for a week. Trowbridge-Ensel will be patched in 2 weeks from Tonight.
The line will be double/triple tracked between Porter and Annoyance in 2 sections (NS has already upgraded the Chicago Line, with 2 track diverging at Porter. Double track on the MQT line ends at CG 135, the the old East end of the Porter Passing Siding). So, the first section to be double-tracked will be from CG135, EE Porter, to around CG127, the WE of the Michigan City Siding. Grading crews are currently working there preparing for the second main. 1 Bridge will need to be eliminated at 625E, and will be turned into a grade crossing.
The Second Section, which will need 2 more tracks, will be from the East End of the Michigan City Siding, CG 126, to Annoyance, CG 122. There are 5 bridges to modify/remove. The Roeske Rd and Karwick Road bridges will be eliminated and turned into Grade Crossings, while the Old bridge over the now abandoned NS (NKP) line will be destroyed an filled in. Finally, and these are half completed, are additions to the Michigan Blvd and Chicago South Shore & South Bend Ry Bridges. The bridges should be ready to add the 2 more tracks by the end of May. This means there will be 5 miles of single track to deal with, meaning only 40 or so trains can use the line daily. PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
If all goes well, the line from Annoyance to Porter will be all set by June 6th.
