GR&P

Postby atrainguy60 on Sat Mar 10, 2012 6:39 pm

The Grand Rapids and Pontiac Railroad is a new railroad that is made of the HESR, Mid Michigan Saginaw-Alma line, the GLC tracks from Osmer to Durand, the Plymouth Sub, and the Michigan Air Line between Lakeland and Pontiac. It's roster comprises of SD40-2's, GP9's, GP35's, and SD50's. None of it's locomotives currently have GR&P's paint scheme. They are currently still in former Santa Fe, CSX, and NS paint.

Ok our new trains are:
CHIDURCP
CHIDURCN
CHIDURCN-2
CHIDURCP-2
DURCHICP
DURCHICN
DURCHICN-2
Also the line to Toledo is double tracked with a few triple track sidings, but GR&P trains will be most likely held up for DT&C trains but only if necessary, we wont put a GR&P train in the siding for three hours, we will make sure it gets.to where it needs to go, and speaking of which, where do they go?

These are the four trains to Toledo: S100 to Walbridge, S101 to Walbridge, S102 to Lang Yard, and S103 to Stanley Yard. S100 originates in Saginaw, S101 originates in Durand, S102 in Saginaw, and S103 in Midland. There are also trains S104 which is like S100, except it goes from Walbridge to Saginaw; S105 is Walbridge to Durand; S106 is Stanley to Saginaw; and S107 is Stanley to Midland. There may be an occasional grain extra to Walbridge from mid Michigan or the thumb.

Ok, sounds good. All our trains to Durand will be from 30 to 40 cars long, do they fit in sidings?

Yes. In fact, the sidings are a bit longer than the trains due to possibility of longer trains in the future, and possible extras that may be longer than the average trains on this line. Every siding is about a mile to a mile and a half long.

There is a light engine move, X108, currently in Byron that's going to Walbridge to pick up a string of grain cars to bring to Saginaw. It'll be about 50 cars long going north. Two SD40-2's.

We are rerouting your trains over the TBR when they get to Toledo, which is jointly operated ny NS and CSX. Traffic is just to heavy on the DT&C in Toledo.
