NS Lima District

The NS Lima District is a version where traffic is heavy on the old NKP route to Lima. The line is double tracked and has some areas of triple track(sidings). The line also extends to Indianapolis.
Trains:
240 - Saginaw, Texas(ATSF) to Sandusky, Ohio
28K - Kansas City, Missouri to Toledo, Ohio(Airline Jct.)
34N - East St. Louis, Illinois to Conway, Pennsylvania
35N - Conway, Pennsylvania to East St. Louis, Illinois
29A - Indianapolis, Indiana to Conway, Pennsylvania
89Q - East St. Louis, Illinois to Toledo, Ohio(Airline Jct.)
1E - Ft. Worth, Texas(ATSF) to Detroit, Michigan(Oakway)
90Z - Houston, Texas(UP) to Cleveland, Ohio
23D - Altoona, Pennsylvania to North Platte, Nebraska(CNW)
24L - East St. Louis, Illinois to Buffalo, New York - Intermodal
609 - New Orleans, Louisiana to Buffalo, New York - Intermodal
L45 - Fostoria, Ohio to Lima, Ohio(renamed the Lima local)
L94 - Indianapolis, Indiana to Indianapoilis, Indiana - Local
CSX Trains:
Q108 - East St. Louis, Illinois to Little Ferry, New Jersey

NS 9030, 8015, and 3324 were seen leading 34N today(3:56 PM) at Lima with a 69 car manifest.
NS 9023 and CSXT 9063 are on 35N going south at Arcadia, Ohio with 80 cars. He will be stopped at Lima to wait for 24L to cross over to number 2.
23D is catching up to 35N on number 2. He will be crossed to number 1 at Lima in front of 35N to let 24L go through.
The units on 35N are 3344 and 2506 with 59 cars.
The units on 23D are 2648, 4645, and 6561 with 79 cars.
The units on 24L are 6078, 5443, 5001, and 8356 with 67 cars.

The old NKP bracket masts at Neptune, Ohio(MP 50.2) are scheduled to come down sometime in October. A new safetran cantilever will replace the NKP signals.
NS 90Z i slowly making its way out of the siding at Lima with ) with BN 3014 and NS 3321 leading 59 cars north.
L45 is switching southwest of Findlay on its way to Lima to work local customers, power is NS 3343 with 15 cars.
NS 9012 is leading NS 36 with and executive car south of Lima towards Indianapolis.

Rumor is that NS is downgrading the line. This is not true. In fact NS will be adding 5 more southbound trains, these are:
39Q - Buffalo, New York to Houston, Texas(ATSF)
60M - Toledo(CR's Airline Jct.), Ohio to North Platte, Nebraska(CNW)
45T - South Kearny, New Jersey(CR to Cleveland) to New Orleans, Louisiana(IC)
699 - Toledo(GT out of Lang Yard), Ohio to East St. Louis, Illinois
44C - Buffalo, New York(CR to Cleveland) to Indianapolis, Indiana

Power in Indianapolis Yard is:
NS 8011(ES44AC), BN 6220(SD60M), BN 9920(ES44DC), NS 9044(C40-9W), ATSF 630(C44-9W), NS 9780(C40-9W), and NS 8760(C40-8C) are being filled up with fuel.
CSXT 8892(SD40-2) and CSXT 1(AC4400CW) on track 9 while waiting to be Q108's power tonight.
NS 9622(C40-9W) and LMSX 711(C40-8W) on track 8 are in front of 24L with 89 intermodal cars.
Also in the yard are CNW 6929(SD40-2), NS 9044(C40-9W), CSXT 6706(GP38-2), NS 3344(SD40-2), NS 2660(SD70M-2), NS 2621(SD70M), NS 2218(SW1500), NS 4613(GP59), and BN 5545(C30-7).

Train 609 is heading north through Muncie, Indiana with an all Conrail lashup, CR 6409(SD40-2) and CR 6537(U30C) with 45 doublestacks and 23 piggybacked trailers. Its clear all the way to Arcadia where it will either wait for a westbound or reduce its speed and get to Arcadia after the westbound.
