Toledo Belt Railroad(TBR)

The Toledo Belt RR was formed in 1997 when neither CSX or Conrail could come to an agreement about what to do with the Toledo Terminal. CSX and Conrail are jointly operating the railroad and power from both can be seen as well as DT&C and TSt.L power.

TBR has bought some hoppers from AHLX and FURX for handling ethanol.

Due to a recent derailment, DT&C will be rebuit into a low nosed GP40X. This occured yesterday when a WE train ran a red and smashed into the front of the second unit on a SB coal to DT&C's Riverfront Yard.

Since CSX absorbed most 49% of Conrail including the old NYC Stanley Yard, the TBR will be seeing less variety in their power, since the DT&C has no use for the TBR and now has tracks to Detroit, little to no DT&C trains will be using it. The TSt.L has also stopped using the TBR, bringing frieght traffic down. Most trains are locals and transfers from CN to CSX which only use the east half. Trains from the docks have seen an increase in cars as CSX paid for the TBR to have more track by the docks so more trains going south on CSX out of Toledo.

The new TBR roster updated to after the break up of CR:
1001 - 1020 AC4400CWE(used to haul heavy taconite trains down from the docks.

D003-30 had 1001, 1002, 1003 all running LHF down to CSX which was really a sight to see, i just had a friend tell me and I beat him to Walbridge.

The GR&P will now be running trains over the Toledo Belt to Walbridge, good thing this line is double tracked all the way around Toledo.
