Impressive! It is almost a small Class 1 like KCS.

Thanks! We liked the AA orange so much its the official scheme now. The AA Geeps will stay on home rails working out of Toledo, now we are a class 1, and not the big takeover all small rr's kind of class 1. If we acquire a company we leave that scheme on our locos and just put DT&C under the numbers. Also we will be having steam excursions every Sunday at noon on the AA.

Special #601 is headed southward at Gallup, OH. This special movement is on its way south to Cincinnatti with classified material. 9030 is lugging the loaded special made 85 ft. flatcar(TTDX 1) southward while all "hot" intermodals sit in the sidings. DT&C will not release information regarding this special load.

Now that traffic has increased on the old I&O the diamond, continually deteriorating, needs to be replaced, next sunday is when the least amount of traffic on the NS. DT&C still has pretty good traffic but most trains will run after dark. The diamond will be replaced at 8:00 AM.

Since most of the traffic happens on the Chicago Sub(Chicago to Ft. Wayne), the Lima Shortline Sub(Ft. Wayne to Lima), and the Cresline & Western Sub(Lima to Crestline), an unusual arrangment will be made at Lima. The DT&C will be replacing the diamond with an overpass. To many "hot" intermodals are being held up by a late local. Now with this arrangement locals can pass without blocking the Lima Shortline. The wyes will bypass the entire town on every side. Service is key on the DT&C and we will not be contempt with being even 1 minute late. 4 new ES44DC's will be delivered in January 2012 so be excited for some new power. There will also be a new railfan park raised above both lines so fans can capture all angles, funded with DT&C money.

While on lease to the TBR, DT&C 33 was derailed and the high nose was smashed completely off, this unit will be rebuilt into a low nosed unit.

CF&E 3889 will keep its road number but has been repatched for DT&C, same with most of the other former CF&E units.

An order has been placed for 4 ES44DC's. These will be numbered 9913-9917. These should be delivered by early to mid January. Also the DT&C is looking into possibly laying some track from Columbus to Cleveland. Doing this would eliminate the NS interchange in Toledo. Trains would just be routed over the new line. More later.

Today on AA-90, UP 1983 will be making an appearance with DT&C 9003 and CSXT 9020. The train will head south to Lima then go west on the Lima Shortline to the Chicago Sub. to the intermodal terminal. UP 1983 will acompany CSXT 9020 to CNW's Proviso Yard where it will get back to the UP on a CNW train. AA-90 is currently passing the ex-AN&M yard in Malinta.

Looks like you may have missed coloring in the number board area on a few of the units :)

Thats the thing, some units have number boards and others don't, the DT&C has such a variety of power that they don't always have time to replace number boards.

18 more C40-8W's were picked up from NS, these units will have class lights installed once more and also have P5 or K5HL airhorns installed. Right now they are patched for the DT&C awaiting the paint booth.
