Ohio Northern Railway

Unread post by Y@ »

The name comes from one of my original paper railroads (way back in the day) but is now being used as a regional /shortline carrier to compliment the IORY.

Here's the basic (for now) layout of the OHNR. They operate over the former CSX/CR/NYC Toledo Branch between Toledo and Columbus, as well as the NS Lima district between Blair Yard in Fostoria and Lima.

More details to come.

Here's what the OHNR roster looks like now. You'll notice that several units are missing. Those units have either been retired, or are leased to the HOSO.

Current OHNR Locomotive Roster
OHNR GP38-2 2700-2709
OHNR GP38-2 2770-2786
OHNR GP38-2 2788-2791
OHNR GP38-2 2801
OHNR SD40-2 8500/8501/8502/8503/8504
OHNR B40-8 8710/8711 (Former CSX units, repainted in 2007)
OHNR SD40-2 8840/8844/8846/8850/8851/8864/8882

As far as traffic goes, here's a list.

Northbound 303 - Columbus-Toledo - Called @ 05:20 - 6 days a week
Westbound 321 - Fostoria-Lima - Called @ 11:05 - 5 days a week

Extra traffic (lime/stone trains, grain trains) run as needed. Locals are based in Toledo, Findlay, Kenton, Lima, and Fostoria.
