The IORY's 2 new NRE gensets should be arriving after the new year. Since the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Reginal council paid 60% of their cost they are required to work in the Cincy area for 5 years. Though a short one month demo period on the entire IORY system will happen after delivery.

Sounds just like the real IORY with that derailment..... The IORY had a real derailment today. One of the IORY's former DT&I-GTW 86 ft boxcars split a switch on the Anchor Hocking Shuttle on the Logan Sub. The car was moving along fine with one set of trucks on the main and the other on the siding, until it hit the cut of load sand cars on the siding. The IORY bought a load of glass ware today.......

The CIND is getting really getting 2 gensets. RA turned down 4 60-40 split grant for 2 a couple of years ago and instead Ohio paided for all of the APU's on the IORY-CFE fleet. The OKI board offered the same deal last year and RA jumped on it this time. The CIND gensets should be delivered sometime in 2011 or 2012. They have to stay in Cincy for the first 5 years on the Queensgate and Valley Turns for the IORY-CIND.

899 got through the gridlock of Chicago and was on their way towards Fort Wayne by 08:00. The IC/CN power stayed on the train as usual.

Work is wrapping up on the derailment site. Should be good to go soon.

The planned 895 is still on BNSF. Shows in the computer with BNSF 1022, BNSF 4876 and UP 4073 for power. No IORY crew called until 05:30 tomorrow morning. Once the train gets to the IHB (prolly gunna be several hours yet) they will tie down until the crew comes on.

Also of note, tomorrow's CHFW is called at 04:40 with NS 6684 and NS 6606 and 101 cars. Pretty wild to see a pair of NS SD60's on the train, foreign power isn't exactly common on the IORY aside from the bulk trains.

Interestingly enough, just learned that the empty version of yesterdays 899 will be going back to CN via Flat Rock instead of Chicago. Not sure why on that.

CN 5519 leading CN 2571 and IC 1027. 90 empties.

12/4/10 - 12/5/10

Computer is showing a XFRFW, and it has been confirmed as a high-wide shipment from Canada going to Fort Wayne. Power is CN 8838 and 7 cars. Should be out of Flat Rock around midnight.

Nothing much going on tomorrow, several jobs are off with the exception of CHFW. They'll have IORY 4082 and CEFX 9362 with a 76 car train.

IORY is having signal troubles at Hamler right now, as tonights 400 with the CFE 3887 and 10 cars is sitting north of the diamond. They were talked by the distant signal north of town but have been unable to get across the diamond due to CSX traffic and maintainers on the IORY. The sleet and snow flurries are not helping the situation. Apparently there are also some signal outages around Springfield and Washington Court House.

12/6/10

FRLI rolling by Diann right now with IORY 4084 and IORY 4083 leading 107 cars. There will be an X-FRLI leaving the Rock sometime soon with CEFX 9400 and 54 cars. Also should be a 406 tonight heading for Lima. Pretty busy for a single day.

Look for a train of storage cars coming out of Flat Rock either tomorrow or Wednesday. There was a 130 car set of coal gons stored up there that the IORY is taking down to the EVWR. No power showing yet but it will likely be CN run through.

FWCH heading west with IORY 4082 solo and 31 cars. They have a 20 car pickup in Warsaw.

X-FRLI currently stopped north of the NS diamond in Leipsic due to more signal issues. They were talked by the Hamler signals but have yet to go through Leipsic. Not sure what exactly is going on with those signals, but it's not a good sign for their future.

FWCH currently working in Warsaw.

FRLI tied down in Lima a little bit ago.

401 called for 20:00 tonight if they get that X-FRLI into the yard, or at least into the siding at Cairo by then.

Look for some BGS stuff to be coming to the north end...we're strapped for power up here and they've got a few sitting around.

X-FRLI in the siding at Cairo, and may end up tying down there as they are holding for two CSX northbounds. Crew dies on the law at 21:00. Sounds like the plan may be to tie them down there, and have 401 bring a crew up to take the train into Lima.

401's crew is on duty and should be getting on board the train shortly. Power is CSCD 6637 and BGS 5000 with 48 cars.

401 northbound at XN right now. Dropped off a crew to take X-FRLI into Lima. Just got back on the IORY at DTI Junction.

There's an 899 coming into Chicago right now from CN. Power shows as CN 8801, CN 8828 and CN 8822. 90 cars.

The 899 that came in last night is currently getting a recrew in Fort Wayne. Retained the trio of CN SD70M-2's.

X-FRFW left the Rock a little bit ago with BCOL 4623 leading solo. Sounds like they will tie down in Lima today and go to Fort Wayne tomorrow. Don't expect the BCOL unit to stay on the train, it'll probably go back to Flat Rock on Wednesdays 401.

FRLI called at 11:45 today, should be heading south by 13:00. BGS 5000 and CSCD 6637 with 55 cars. Picking up 7 at Delta as well.

No 401 planned for tonight.

AA 7802 is sitting on the interchange track at Diann with a few cars, so it will be going to Flat Rock tonight. Currently no power in the yard there so look for a crew to come on and take the local in as DIFR sometime tonight. Engine should also lead FRLI tomorrow, although I'm not yet seeing a planned FRLI, so there may not be one. North end is pretty power short so 401 tomorrow's 401 should have some extra power for the Rock.

899 clearing Uniopolis now.

FRLI waiting at XN for a northbound CSX train.

X-FRFW is tied down in Lima, BCOL 4623 cut off the train and already turned facing north. Could lead 401 tomorrow, but could also have turned for the trip to Fort Wayne.

LICN will be heading south tomorrow afternoon with EJE 674 leading BCOL 4623 and a 134 car train. Pretty awesome pair right there. May head south and chase them in the snow.

Currently waiting around Lima for LICN to get out. Crew goes on duty at 11:45 and they should be getting out around 12:30. Will be chasing them far as I can. Sun is out and about an inch of snow on the ground around here.

LICN southbound clearing Jackson Center now. EJE 674 leading BCOL 4623 and 134 cars. Shot them leaving Lima, and now waiting at the curve north of Quincy. Probably going to shoot them north of St. Paris and then again in Thackery. After that I'm skipping down to WCH and will shoot them going west until the sun is gone.

Chase complete for the LICN. Left them as they rolled through Sabina. They worked in WCH for about an hour, dropped 33 cars and added 17 to their train. Power will come back on CNLI tomorrow and the BCOL unit will probably head back to Flat Rock on 401 either Saturday night or Sunday. The EJE 674 will continue to hang around.
