BGS Location Updates

Unread post by Y@ »

Gunna be a busy afternoon on the Marion Branch today, got 4 southbounds due out of Elkhart within 3 hours of each other, plus 2 northbounds out of Anderson and another out of Marion. Bunch of MOW work going on around Claypool and Milford this morning so that's why everything is backed.

Tomorrow will be a busy afternoon on the Marion Branch. MOW will be working at Leesburg in the morning, nothing scheduled to move between Goshen and Claypool from 05:00 to 13:30.

103 called for 01:20 in Anderson. UP 9173, BGS 8427 and BGS 8411 assigned upon delivery by CSX.
104 called for 02:00 in Wabash. No power assigned, looks like they'll keep whatever power NS has on the train.
No 135 called.
136 was called, but is now annulled.
161 called for 09:00 in Anderson. BGS 8904, BGS 8900, BGS 8304, and BGS 4447 assigned.
162 called for 13:45 in Elkhart. BGS 8434 and NALX 7081 assigned.
189 called for 09:00 in Wabash. No power assigned, train may get annulled upon delivery by NS.
190 anulled.
209 called for 10:00 in Indianapolis. CSXT 7333 and CSXT 348 assigned.
224 called for 15:40 in Elkhart. GMTX 9046, BGS 8401 and BGS 8362 assigned.
311 called for 03:20 in Marion. BGS 8408, NS 9245, NS 8959 and GMTX 9074 assigned.
312 called for 13:00 in Elkhart. BGS 8397 and BGS 8558 assigned. That should be a good train to get in the afternoon, the leader is in Trona Railway paint.

312 was out of Elkhart before 14:00 this afternoon. 162 followed them south a short time later, and 224 brought up the end of that parade. 189 sat in the siding at Claypool for nearly 2 hours while those southbounds went, and 209 is still in Anderson.

224 was out of Elkhart early today, around 2 p.m. Lots of people out chasing them down the branch, they had CSXT 7333 (in Conrail paint), CSXT 348, BGS 8304 and BGS 8904 up front.

190 was out of Elkhart at 08:30 today, great lashup too. Heard several people were out chasing them down the branch. They had BGS 8319, BGS 2141, BGS 5016, CSXT 8444, CSXT 7513, CSXT 7837 and 108 cars. Last three units were all D-I-T heading back to CSX.

They just got to Marion about 20 minutes ago, BGS power cut away, and the CSX units will lead the train the remainder of the way as NS 19K.
