Here's the LMOC Roster. The six SD70ACe's were delivered in July 2008, and are the railroads only new power. They see service between Fort Wayne and Toledo on hot trains, but once in awhile they will stray from the old Wabash.

SW1200: 204-208, 210, 212-213 (ex BN)
SD70ACe: 700-705 (delivered new)
GP38-2: 2645-2654 (ex NS)
SD50: 5000-5004 (ex HLCX/UP)
GP40-2: 5600-5627 (ex CCN)
GP40: 6212, 6215-6216 (ex INC)
SD40-2: 6400-6439 (ex CP)
SD40-2: 8281-8283 (ex EMDX)
B39-8: 8308-8313 (ex RLCX)

All locomotives on roster wear the LMOC paint, except for the following:

SD50 5000: in UP paint
GP40 6212: in INC paint
SD40-2 8282: in EMDX red/grey/silver paint
B39-8 8308-8313: all in RLCX red/white/grey paint

Look for an announcement on the LMOC buying more SD70ACe's soon... the crews in the cab and shop both love them, and they want to phase out the SD50's and B39-8's.

Also, look for some heritage units soon. If the deal gets inked, the guys at the top want to do a couple heritage units... Wabash and Cincinnati Northern are the most likely cantidates.

6 more SD70ACe's are on order now... became official today. This should be the beginning of phasing out the B39-8's and SD50's.

Also, a pair of Florida Gulf Coast SD40T-2's came up to Van Wert yesterday for work, and now the talk is they're being leased here (along with 3 more and a lone SD40) on long term in exchange for the SD50's once the new ACe's arrive.

How do you guys keep track of your engine rosters? Do you know what assignments they have? How do you know how many engines you need? You have some big a$$ rosters.

When I have the time I'll post a couple of my larger paper railroads with engine rosters of 15-20 (Central Michigan & Northern). It's difficult for me to keep track of who does what. I don't know how you do it with rosters of 50, 100, 200 or more engines.

And then there's your freight car rosters. How do you know what you need if you don't know who your customers are?

Just asking :?
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

Working out my trains right now, figuring out how many I have and will be per day, along with how many units each train will usually have. Once I get a figure, I'm going to trim or expand my roster accordingly. I figure enough units to run everything plus a few standby's should be good.

Haven't gotten into freight cars much yet. I know customers on portions of the PM but there are some I'm unfamiliar with (northern region of the current GLC and the current INER). I figure I'll atleast have a fleet of 2 bay covered hoppers with all the sand coming out of Nugent and Yuma, plus some covered hoppers for the PM's numerous elevators.

More LMOC news, 3 CEFX/CIT Group SD90's are coming in soon as well for lease. Don't know the numbers yet though.

Also, a rumored trade between the FEC and LMOC has been buzzing. Although the NYSW SD70M's have only been on property a short while, they may be coming back north in exchange for some of the former SOO SD40-2's that have been stored in Van Wert for a few months. I'll be keeping an eye on that.
