7:32am - Amtrak 365 (Blue Water) at milepost 257.1 approaching Durand depot. This puts it about 30 minutes behind schedule.

A day after I post about 251 being a safe daily bet, there's no sign of them . I started my commute at 6:30, so they either ran very early or managed to sneak by me.

I dropped by Pontiac Yard and saw BNSF 5797 & 9711 hanging out by the tower, but there were no full autoracks visible on the north end of the yard, which is where I've seen them make up.

I think E251's coming now.

8:31am - westbound freight coming out of Flint Yard at milepost 257.1, 294 axles. That might be M357.

8:43am - another westbound freight coming past or out of Flint Yard at milepost 257.1 with 500 axles. This could be Q149, the daily intermodal, running behind M357 today, but it's more likely the other way around.

8:48am - eastbound emerging from the Shaftsburg dead zone and approacjing milepost 248. Also something coming down out of the HESR/GLC Durand yard and cleared onto the Ann Arbor spur at Pitt. What I still think is E251 is holding at South Gaines, and if so, it will end up third in the conga line after 149/357 or 357/149.

8:53am - that GLC train has cleared the Durand diamonds, so everything's moving again except 251. Westbound at Vernon, westbound at Durand, eastbound at Vernon.

9:00am - new westbound on the board at East Lapeer, lined onto Flint Service.

The two westbounds currently between Durand and Lansing are M357 and M395.

The eastbound at Vernon is led by BNSF 9986, and has been lined onto the Holly Sub all the way to milepost 63. There's still a northbound lined through North Gaines, so I guess they're going to have a meet there.

I think your CN posts are a good compliment to the CSX & NS coverage we have here. I'm sure there are lurkers out there who use them, and they help me, a relative newbie, figure out what's going in places I can't visit when I'm at work. Thanks!
