8:20am - big westbound at milepost 257.1, running 472 axles. I didn't see whether it came out of Flint or bypassed it; if it came out of Flint it could be M357, if it bypassed it it's probably Q149. In any case, it's breathing down the neck of E251 on the way to Lansing.
Supposedly today's the day they cut in the shoo-fly on main #1 at Farm Lane. I haven't heard yet how any of this morning's trains are being routed; if and when they start shooting everything down #2, I'll know.
As expected, this morning work crews at the Farm Lane project cut main #1 and spliced in the second shoo-fly. Everything they're letting through is using main #2 and the shoo-fly they completed last week. I'll be posting photos up in the Lower Michigan Talk forum.
Inasmuch as I only saw one train in three hours (10:15am to 1:15pm) come past Farm Lane, it appears they've scheduled around this work. But a 424-axle westbound just cleared milepost 257 at 1:41pm, so perhaps they've started to release anything they've been holding at Flint.
I don't know if they are 100% daily, as I can't vary my commute time as much as they vary their departure time, but I consider 251 a safe bet for a given morning.
