CSX GRE MQT Train Location Update 06-02-08

Looks quiet at the GRE. Only the 1 outbound gon in the yard. The usual Amtrak. Made a trip to Fremont Sat for an open house. Half dozen hoppers at the co-op. Lots of cars n Grant and Sparta. The caboose was in Sparta, no power.

Q335 clear at Okemos Road (CH 81.2) at 7:02am, running 3734 feet and 240 axles behind CSX 941 (?).

I noticed that Q335 is at elmdale at 8:55 AM. I always thought this train ran in the afternoon getting to GR around evening time. They must be running today.

Q335's call time was changed to an early morning time about a year ago. In fact the first shot I have of an early call time 335 was exactly 365 days ago, June 3rd, 2007.

A Southbound Empty Coal Train from Flint came through Plymouth Diamond about 90 minutes ago that had CSX 811 (ES44AC) and CSX 4834 (SD70ACe). They kept Y107 on the Toledo Wye. Here's pictures of it:

Chris,

Did you catch a grain train southbound around oh 6:00 - 6:30. It had 4 engines. Was finshed with dinner at 885 saw it heading south no way to catch it. Q326 came through about 10 mins later.

Sorry, I didn't catch any trains after that. Funny that you had dinner at Station 885 when I was there for lunch.
