CSX GRE MQT Train Location Update 5-21-08

Unread post by Raildudes dad »

Looks like it's going to be quiet at the GRE unless they show up later. CSX delivered a mini unit train for King over night. The MMRR truck yesterday was to put the rail back in the engine house. The 24 was back inside last night. It looks like they installed a couple monitoring wells around the building also.

At 8:34am Calumet City gave the track between East End Trowbridge and West End Trowbridge to one maintainer, and between East End Ensel and North Lansing to another maintainer, through 10:00am. So don't expect any movement through here for the nonce.

Dispatcher said that Ensel hadn't profiled any yard jobs for her yet.

With both Q335 and Y320 now west of Seymour, maintainers are taking the track between Seymour and Fox until 16:00. No trains will be able to go east from GR or come from the east until they have finished their work.

There was an N910 just after midnight last night. Don't know if he got pushed up the hill, doubled, or tied down though.

Caught K911 at East Saugatuck - they were waiting for X500-20 to pass (CSX power on X500 was a little different).

What is S335 exactly? Also U965 sounds new.

S335 was a second section of Q335-20.

U965 was an extra run of coal bound for MSU.

First empty stone train, right? So have those cars have been sitting in GR all winter?
