Some strange power on CN's train 395, which was westbound at milepost 257 at 11:19am and at milepost 227 at 12:05pm.
#395 is running 622 axles today, with five engines. No mysteries on the first three: CN 2402, CN 5284, and IC 2462.
But #4 and $5 are almost entirely 'blonde,' as though they only have a primer coat.
#4 has a hand-written number in 2-foot-high numerals halfway down the cowl: 9226. Smaller numerals stenciled near the end of the long nose read: C862A32.
#5's numbers are 9227 and C862A33, respectively. #5 has one orange cab door.
Googling on the C- numbers was not fruitful.

Let's go to the tape, Bob.
I didn't realize EMD was now making a model with radiator "wings" after the fashion of recent GE's. I do most of my 'identification' by looking up road numbers, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who counted on the presence or absence of those 'wings' as a quick GE-or-EMD guide.
