CSX GRE MQT Train Location Update 5-5-08

Looks quiet today at the GRE, yard is empty. 26 will be leading 371, crew just showed up so they're on the regular schedule.

Amtrak was indeed running at it's normal time...crews in Holland seemed a bit confused about this though, as they were getting ready to get D008 moving at Waverly.

I believe the Thursday was the last day for the curfew. However I can't immediately find a source to reference.

I'm suprised this has eluded those of us around GR for the last few days but CSX 5875 has been around here for work train duty since the 29th or 30th. It came back into town today leading D008.
Q326 arrived shorty after D008 with CSX 289 & 4774 for power. They also picked up CSX 8123 from X202 in New Buffalo.
Q335 should be pulling into town now with CSX 5479 & 8151 along with a returning normal GR area unit, CSX 2631.

Also, there was a D007 working west out of Benton Harbor yesterday. I didn't see it running, but I did see it parked in the yard Sunday morning. About a dozen CR/CSX/SBD and 1 L&N(!) gons, and GP38-2 2738 in YN2 paint. Not sure what they were doing with it though. Engine was on the west end of the train when it was parked.

Q326 cleared Plymouth diamond at 20:15. As CNW8835 / Jon said, it was pulled by 289, 4774, and 8123. 23 cars followed.
