Here's Raildude's Dad's post:
Looks like it's going to be quiet at the GRE today. The yard is empty, CSX picked up the 4 or 5 empty Kings last night. The 24 is still parking outside but it looked like the pit was being backfilled yesterday, all the equipment is gone. 26 pushing the 90219 this morning on 371.

Is Kirk, MI east or west of Grand Rapids?

KIRK is northwest of southwestern of a road which run north to south by some hillbilly named Cletus, who has twenty children, five of which are his parents (Don't ask me if that is even possible). They grew up north northeast of Helper siding which is in the general area of western michigan, but is south of holland and north of Bangor where they pickle things including bats near the CSX line that runs through Michigan. I hope this helps...
You say trestle... I say Trussell!!!

Kirk isn't an auctual town. It's the name of a siding near Watervliet, which is between Holland and New Buffalo (west of Grand Rapids).

Chris, did you miss Doc's great breakdown of the GR sub and all its sidings a few weeks ago? That post should have been stickied.

Kirk is railroad WEST (south) of Bangor, not east (north). It's actually between Hartford and Watervliet. 9300 feet or so, with two crossings in the middle, I believe.

Ok, so that must mean (According to Zack's report of X500 in Kirk, MI) that X500 needs to go to GR first before continuing to Detroit.

Umm, I think if its going to Detroit, its gotta go by everywhere that zack says first, as Detroit is the end of the line is it not?
