G855 was by Plymouth at 5:30pm. I also caught the Q216, Q272, Q305, and G378 in Plymouth and Romulus. There is also a G796 heading south tonight I caught them in Grand Blanc just after 9:00 with the CSXT 5343 leading.

There is no D717 on Sunday, so I would say that Q392 and 399 on sunday will still set off. So cars are there for Monday. Would have made more sense to put 717 off on Saturday. The Q399-392-717 has started. No stops for 392 or 399 durring the week at Plymouth. So that means those of you along the Detroit Sub, will have a good sized local in good eastbound morning light to shoot now.

Wow, we must have crossed paths at one point. I went up Shook Rd. several times looking for a good photo spot.

haha...neither. I WAS trying to think of a way to incorporate that kick arse Landing Strip sign into a picture, though. I love old signs like that. I was probably in Romulus for a good hour or two, most of the time driving back and forth between the CSX line and the NS line looking for trains and trying to find some decent photo spots. I finally settled on the parking lot just south of the LS and sat there waiting...and finally 305 came along.

With CSX between the Chessie Caboose display and the "Landing Strip", you get to see both kinds of Cabooses there! :D

Q305 wouldnt of been in Romulus if it hadnt been for a maintainer working on the Lincoln Secondary. They sat at Delray Junction for over 30 mins to determine a route for them or get their blocks.

They Ran light engine out of Sterling Heights, skipped over North Yard and picked up 32 cars at Livernois which were mostly those older DSSX hoppers.

I caught D717 coming back from Rougemere this afternoon and that local was HUGE! The train was well over 50 cars and they even had to break-up the train because they couldn't fit it all in North Yard in one shot. That resulted in the crew hogging-up the Saginaw Wye, Main, and Yard Lead!
