Heads up 353 and 352 4/7/08

353-08 will have the "Wheel of Fortune" wrapped Horizon coach 54013 in the center of the consist (128, 5 cars, and 29).

352-08 will have the track geometry cars 10001 and 10002 after the rear unit... 10002 is the one with the pantograph. 353-09 is to have the cars placed on the rear, improperly pointed, with 10002's pantograph at the forward end.

Geometry testing will be performed between Chicago and Pontiac.

Upon 353-09's arrival in Chicago, the cars will be placed on the rear of train 30-10 for return to Washington, DC. 30-10's consist is to operate in reverse order with the transistion dorm extreme rear. Bag car will remain on head end.

Got the Wheel of Fortune car yesterday on 352 thanks to Greggs posting.

The Wheel of Fortune coach was actually on 351 this morning, which makes sense if it was on 352 yesterday because 352 turns as the next day's 351 while 354 turns as the next day's 353.

Today's 351 was about 20 minutes late arriving into Kalamazoo, Engine 127 leading and #29 trailing. 5 cars total, with the Wheel car in the center spot. The Amcafe was a former San Diegan car based on the position of the nameplate, now devoid of a name.

Unfortunately I'll be in class when 352 comes through this afternoon with the Geometry cars... but you can bet I'll be up for 351's westbound journey tomorrow morning.

So today....

I am gonna have to see #352.... she sounded later yesterday afternoon, about 7 pmish....

I'll grab Mike to take pics of the Amtrak Geo's.

Yeah, I don't know why I wrote 352-07 would turn as 353 when it normally turns as 351. Brain hiccup. Sorry 'bout that.

ARROW said the track geometry cars on 352 were turning back on 353, though, so keep your eyes out for a possible change Wednesday.

I got some pics t=of 10001 & 10002 sadly I forgot this morning to grab my camera on the way to work so I had to snap them using my cell. Now the only trick is getting them off (hrrrmmm where did I put my microSD card....)

The consist was as follows

Amtrak 353 Arrived into Kalamazoo Station about 4 minutes late, with the following consist:

58103 Horizon Cafe

10002 Corridor Clipper Test Car
10001 Beech Grove Business/Theatre Car

They had a fair number of passengers to board this afternoon and spent a few minutes in the station before departing toward Chicago. Once again, thanks for the headsups, everyone

WB at Denton that me and James saw was led by 28 and trailed by 27 got pics of that, and the 263 roadrailer with 8767 in Will-It-Run Yard and some night shots of it as well.
