Unread post by Raildudes dad »

The 24 is out of the house. The new gon for Michigan Wire and 1 Amway or Precison Poly? hopper are all that's in the yard. Looks like a trip to Lowell with an empty at Rosewood? earlier this week and empties at King.

Q334 reached the MP 79.9 detector (Dobie Rd, Okemos) at 7:12am and was stopped by a dragging equipment report on axle 246 (of 384). Q334 is 5404' long today.

As of 7:44am, she wasn't moving again yet.

X50026 cleared MP 80 (Dobie Road, Okemos) at 8:34am, and Elm Rd (Webberville) at 9:07am. It was briefly delayed at Williamston because it slowed to pick up the conductor of Q33428 (who was checking out the reported Dragging Equipment problem on his own train) from trackside and deliver him to the headend of Q334 on the Williamston siding. Power on X500 was CSXT 1026 (in Conrail livery).

Q33428 was cleared to proceed east at about 9:30am and passed Main Street in Webberville at 9:36am. Power is CSX 8773 and CSX 8860.

ADM in Webberville is being worked by two CSX locos, #7926 and #7583.

There is no CSXT 1026. Sure you don't mean CEFX 1026 in CEFX blue?

If 24 is out of the house does that mean it is heading to King? If so, when does it return to GR?

They should be between Ada and Lowell now. JT spotted them eastbound at Spaulding Ave at 10:30.

*peers more closely at the filthy side of the loco in the best photo* Huh. I guess I do. Zebra stripes on the nose, but dirt and shadows below the cab window. Thanks.

CEFX 1026 is indeed what Mike meant, because thats what it was. A crew called out of Walbridge will meet Q334-28 somewhere south of Plymouth to recrew them because of today's delays. Power was a nice set of CSX repaints, 8773-8860 looking nice in the morning sunshine with yet another snow pack on the ground. (And, its almost April)

While test driving a new car from a dealership today: I saw the back of 2 trains stopped side-by-side; blocking both the passing siding and the main south of Plymouth. Wonder what's going on?

#102, or #6102?

Heard Q327 clear MP79.9 (Dobie Road, Okemos) at 4:33pm. Reported at 1503 feet, 98 axles. Radio calls sounded like CSX 6102 on the head end. But I didn't see it.

I heard Q32628 clear Sheldon Rd. in Plymouth a few minutes ago.
#102, or #6102?

I thought he said 102. I heard him clear several signals - Eckles Rd., Hines Park, Plymouth diamond. But to be sure I checked:

http://www.thedieselshop.us/CSX.HTML

According to that, #6102 is gone. So I think it was #102.

Q327-28 did indeed have CSXT 102 as the only unit today. The eastbound at Sheldon Rd a little while ago should have been X095-28 with CSX power 7926-7583. With Q326-28 major late, the crew picked up this power at Webberville grain to get it to Detroit for the train that usually gets Q326's power to head south tonight. Speaking of late, STILL nothing out of todays Q335-28 yet.
