38J is at Kalamazoo right now making their setoff. I don't know when the crew was called, but they might be getting a recrew here, too. They've got at least one autorack so they'll have something for Wayne today, for sure. Will try to post when they depart for this daylight trip across the state.

38J eastbound into Jackson around 2:30 -3 this afternoon

Just before 1PM 38J (with a recrew) had completed their airtest and told BO they were ready to go. The Dearborn Dispatcher gave them a high green at CP-Comstock (where I caught them), and they were off.

They picked up the 3065 from Kalamazoo while they were here... 3065 had been the power on last night's B-57 and was parked on the North Pass with one SSW covered hopper and two AEX covered hoppers from Battle Creek. They took the unit and left the cars, perhaps for yard duty in Jackson. There were lots of coil cars on this train, and a wide variety of other cars. One BNSF Autorack was also near the front of the consist, for Wayne.

Amtrak 350 was about 15 minutes late into Kalamazoo, and ran eastbound on track 1 because 38J was still tying up track 2. They had to get a Form D to go east from BO to Comstock. By the time they had their paperwork, they were about 20 minutes behind.
