Looks like a quiet day again at the GRE. Nothing from NS, CSX delivered a mini unit train for King. Even yarded it for them again :) . Looks like the cabbage will be leading 371.

Both Q326 and Q335 are nearing the yard at this time. Q326 leader is CSXT 8373, sounds like 335's leader is 5312.

Q33513 cleared Okemos at 08:35a. |Correction| Power was apparently CSXT 5312.

Y102 is working International Paper today. The dispatcher seemed to think this was remarkable. Y102 ran past Zimmer Road as light power (CSXT 2654) at 08:59a.

As of 09:45a there was an eastbound grain train (G74905) sitting on the Williamston siding west of Dietz Road. Power is CSXT 8810 amd CSXT 7903. The train is broken at Meech Rd (MP 72.30) so they've either been sitting there a while or expect to be. Assume they're eventually going to be working ADM in Webberville. (Hmm, I wonder how many crossovers there are along the Williamston siding.)

To explain: I was up at CN's Okemos Road crossing waiting on AMTK 365 when Q335 and later Y102 passed CSX's Okemos Road crossing. So I heard the whistles and the radio calls, but I didn't see/photograph either train there. (I did catch up with Y102 at Zimmer Road.) But I didn't get anything written down until I got back to the car.

The Grain Train in the Williamston pass, for Webberville I presume, should be G749-05 with CSX 7903-8810 for power. Q335-13's trailing unit behind 5312 was 7749. Y-102-13 spotted four loads at International Paper at 1053am and took the four empites back to Ensel, stopping at the college on the way. There is now five loads remaining on IP's spur D709-12 had two loads for them in their train this morning but did not have time to stop and drop them off, or switch the plant.

I am not sure exactly what happened at IP this week. Last Thursday morning, D709-05 spotted four cars in the plant for the first time all week, but the following day when D709-06 returned with seven more loads in his train, and to spot four more, the "flag was down" indicating they were not ready for a switch, so they left those seven, plus the one on the spur for a, now, total of eight for the weekend.

Flash forward to last Monday, 709 has three more loads, plenty of time to work the plant, but all they did was drop off the two loads. For all I surmise, the flag was "still down", which now left 11 loads on the spur. Instant reply Tuesday, but with two more loads in their train, plenty of time to switch the plant, but they just dropped off the two loads adding the spur count to now 13 cars. Flag must have been still down.

With no more cars for them on Wednesday morning, they finally got the plant switched. I do NOT have a clue if perhaps, IP was doing some kind of constuction work inside the plant in the unloading dock area which did not allow any cars to be placed, or......... if someone at the plant just had forgotten to "raise the flag" starting from way last Friday. Regardless, yesterdays four cars were unloaded and the flag was UP by 4pm but this morning, 709 was late and did not have time to work the plant. I am not sure who arranged Y102 to come back and switch International Paper this morning, or if IP was really hot under the collar because of all these loads on the spur and they no fresh ones were in the plant this morning. As is now, with four loads spotted by 1053am, they won't have time to get them unloaded by quitting time today, so even if 709 makes it back to the plant tomorrow, the flag will probably be down again. For real this time.
