Looks quiet at the GRE. CSX picked up the 4 King empties and NS the 2 centerbeams, scale car & 1 tank. Doesn't look like CSX delived any and couldn't see if NS did (too dark  ). 66 will be pushing 371.

Word from the Matt man says CSX Q33512 at New Boston(10:08am). CSXT 8080 leading 5000 feet of train, has a large cut of loaded steel coil cars lettered for GTW, CN, IC, and ICG.

Wixom Update:
Large cut of racks still in Wixom Siding, north of Maple Road (Korexx access). Large cut of racks now placed on the 3 track off of Wixom Road going into Ford.

And the weirdiest thing today: a single well car attatched to a loaded beam, and two covered wagons on the Coe Interchange. Waited for Coe, but they were in no sign. American Plastics, as a HUGE amount of covered hoppers on their spur, I hope they aren't paying for the cars to sit there! The blue tool car that was on the old main at Wixom is now behind the old Canadian trains in Walled Lake.

Y195 is out at Fox switching now, powered by CSXT 1139. Also maintainers are soon enroute to investigate a possible natural gas leak at Lamar.

When I saw Q335-06 last week, there were five of those open top loaded coil cars, all from GTW, CN, or IC, in the middle of the train! New business? Photos soon :)

Looking into the P37112 delays, it looks like they lost the most time between Bangor and St. Joe. I wonder if the track crew I went past on Monday had anything to do with it... I'm sure if Doc knows we all might know soon.

American Plastics, as a HUGE amount of covered hoppers on their spur, I hope they aren't paying for the cars to sit there!
Plastics cars are leased by the plastic pellet producers thus the reporting marks ending in "X". They serve as a "warehouse on wheels". The producer pays a monthly rate to the car leasing company regardless of where the car is, no per diem to the railroads. The railroad get a fee to deliver the car from the petrochemical plant to the user's siding. That's why it's not important for Thermofil in Webberville to get a daily switch, they have lots of product in storage in the cars on site.
