I hope I'm wrong, but I think yesterday's N956 went thru Northville around 3 this morning. Heard the tell-tale groaning as it slowly approached 7 Mile Rd. coming off the turn at the Plymouth diamond. Looks like I missed it again!

D802 east - slow approach Holland depot - 12:13 PM.

EDIT: D802 north at Riley St. 12:29 PM. BNSF 5906, 6050, and 6014.
Pushers on the rear - didn't get the numbers, but they'll be bringing empties south in a little while.

At 12:55PM, I caught a westbound CP Rail train of doublestacks and empty well cars coming off the connection at CP-Michigan Ave. joining the CSX Detroit Sub from CP-Lou on the MC line. No scanner :-( so I don't know if they are only going to Oak Yard or farther, but they were doing track speed behind a pair of big CP General Electrics at P Company Junction.

Also, there is a pristine pair of Rio Grande painted W&LE GP40s on the Eagle Ave. overpass at Rougemere Yard today. #301 and #303 to be exact. They look great! #300 is also there but not in Action Road livery.

I think I also saw Q216 getting ready to depart Rougemere with two GE's. GP35 RD Slug #2297 and GP40-2 mother 6426 are also still at the Rouge.

Just missed 216 in Plymouth. Evidently the CP train did not make it that far, according to another railfan I talked to there.

At 14:15, Q334-08 came off the Plymouth sub onto the Toledo sub. CSX 4534, 8312, 2429, & 9250 (an RCPHG4), & about 90 cars, one of which was leaking sand.

At 14:55, Q335-08 came off the Toledo sub onto the Plymouth sub. CSX 8100 & 8453, 77 cars.

At 15:15, Q327-08 cleared Plymouth diamond. CSX 5260 & 8041, 24 cars.

The CP train in question was X509-09 (CP 159-08 ) and that train terminates at Oak Yard.

The coal train you saw was actually a VERY RARE U975-06 which was 100 loads of coal for the Delray Connecting RR. They have not run this train since 2005 and they only ran 3 to the Delray Connecting when they did.

The local you saw was Y107-09 which had taken his unit this morning and took the dead Q287-09 from Wayne to Detroit and then came back to Plymouth to work.
