So why is L301 running on a Sunday and so late in the day? Does this have anything to do with the work train tied down in Wells?

No idea, I happened to turn on scanners at 7pm and randomly heard L301-05 talking to Rouge Tower after M326-05’s recrew was yarding their train.

L301 has been on a odd schedule and having U301 cover their workload at nights

Track work curfew south(west) of Wells during the day. L301 will be on nights until the work is completed in a few weeks.

I think ever since they had a new conductor and from what ive heard a new engineer on 301 there schedule has been wacky (maybe because they are showing the conductor what to do and the fact they have 3 guys in the cab of a sd40) but if anyone has info on late run 301's please let me know as I'm trying to get shots but can't because they roll through at night.

G077-05 this morning evidently went to Grand Ledge. It did not go to Webberville. DD at Fowlerville showed it to have 90 cars. Trailing unit behind 98 looked to be 710. 98 was on L302 on April 9 which had 3410 paired with it at that time. 2nd unit on G077-05 may have ended in 10 but was not a four digit number indicating it was not 3410.

L301 will be on nights for the next few weeks due to an MOW curfew on the GR Sub. The third person is one of the many new-hire trainees currently qualifying in Grand Rapids. There is seating for 3 in most locomotives so that's not a big deal.

Y121 north at Riley St. Holland 12:00 noon. Looks like they'll be going to Endeavor elevator and maybe dropping off a coal hopper on the Harlem siding?

Work seems imminent further south as well. Porta-potties placed and asphalt cut for crossing replacement on Linco Road and Livingston Road.

Last time I was down that way, ties had been set out on the main track only. Now there are lots of ties laid out for a heavy rehab of Livingston siding as well.
