Amtrak 351 Wolverine out of Kalamazoo to Chicago was 34 Minutes delayed today. Supposedly due to Signal Issues along the way.

Amtrak 353 Wolverine is going to be around an hour delayed today out of Kalamazoo to Chicago. Unknown Reason, but i'd assume the signal problems could still be outgoing and causing delays.

All other trains out of Kalamazoo going East are delayed by around 5-10 minutes.
All other trains out of Kalamazoo going West are on time.

Amtrak 353 Wolverine from Kalamazoo to Chicago is Cancelled today. Unknown reason, but if I had to guess i'd say the snow.

All other Westbound trains out of Kalamazoo are around 0-5 minutes delayed. Unknown reason.

Amtrak 355 left Pontiac an hour late due to "mechanical issues."

Not surprised so many trains are cancelled though there is no snow on the east side of the state, just rain. Even the threat of snow cancels Amtrak it seems.

No Amtrak 353 again today due to "severe weather disruption." Is it that bad west of Detroit? Nothing here but wind and rain.

And it is not clear on the Tracker if Amtrak 350 is on time or very late leaving Chicago. Says it was delayed due to the late arrival of equipment, which I presume would have been 355 yesterday but that train never ran. Ugh. Amtrak.

Amtrak 350 just passed MP 22.5 on the Holly at 4:28 pm, two and a half hours late today. It had an extra car and a locomotive on each end,which will help it in leaving Pontiac as 355 in an hour.

Well, Amtrak 351 and 353 are not only both running today, the day after the big snow storm, but both left Pontiac on time.

And 350 was only about 20 minutes late into Pontiac today. Go figure. Good for Amtrak.

Amtrak 351 left Pontiac on time in 6 degree weather this morning. The horn sounded awful at Opdyke crossing but hey, they ran the train. And so far 353 isn't canceled. Good for Amtrak.

So get this Amtrak fans. After 350, 351 and 353 all ran pretty much on time today, at 2:40 pm, about when 350 arrived at Pontiac, Amtrak canceled 355 due to "severe weather-related conditions." Even with 355's trainset in Pontiac. Sure it is 6 degrees out but it was the same this morning. My guess is has something to do with 352 and/or 354.

EDIT: Yes it does. 352 was canceled shortly before 355 was. 354 is still scheduled to run tonight. Go figure. Poor Amtrak. Its poor riders.

No Amtrak 351 this morning. Canceled for no given reason. They don't even try to come up with one now. Just call it "Winter." So far 353 is running later this morning.

The last time I rode Amtrak out of Pontiac, about fifteen years ago, it was 17 below zero. Left on time and the only problem to Kalamazoo and back was a frozen switch in Chelsea that delayed the meet and got us back around 20 minutes late.

NS B33 crew was taxied to Wayne to fetch the B25 that died on hours there last night.

WB thru Ypsi at 13:33 with NS 5272/NS 3329 and 68 cars including a nice looking Rock Island covered hopper.

So one Wolverine so far today, maybe that is it. Pathetic. Freight trains are running just fine. Didn't Amtrak just get $25 billion too? They are worse now after the money.

And this means the same scenario is set in stone for tomorrow. Only one morning train out of Pontiac due to lack of trainsets there.

You were right, David, around 3:30 am 354 went by with what sounded like two trainsets as it was a very long train that went by m y house. However, 351 is delayed leaving Pontiac, probably because of 354's late arrival.

Edit: 351 went past at 6:30 am, about 40 minutes late.
