TC run today- both Amerhart and Beacon. No visual.

396/399 - had an empty for beacon, unknown on Amerhart

08:14 - GLC is SB across the CN Diamond in Durand with 382/383/393/391 and a CSX unit grain train that came from the Star of the West elevators in Rosebush and Shepherd.

There are 4 gons at Beacon- two beyond the scale ready for pickup, one at the fine shred metal loading area at the far end of the spur, and one at the larger chuck metal loading area. How's that for detail lol. Last weight on the scale digital display shows 236,103 lbs.

AARR brought GLC 84 mixed manifest cars overnight.

Also the siding is full at Ann Pere as well as the transfer track. Could be 65-70 cars there as well.

Do they always wait for them? Is there a handoff? I figured GLC would just leave the cars for AA to pickup, and the other way around.
Do the two always intend to be at Osmer around the same time?

I’m not sure about normal drop offs but the past 2 days with the grain trains they have been waiting for eachother. Generally I think Ann Arbor comes up during the night and drops off and takes back what GLC brought down previously or vice versa. I’ve also herd osmer has cars on 2 of the 3 tracks right now so that maybe why AA came up.

Some TSBY hoppers in the mix and full disclosure I had counted NSSX gondolas as NS in the past……

GLC was working the Middleton branch over night pulling a CSX grain train in sections back to Ashley. MAC crew's worked over night loading also,probably coming south today I would imagine.

Correction on my last,they seemed to pull a bunch of the random hoppers to Ashley,and left them there. MAC was loading the last few car's of the Unit CSX train at noon today. Then at some point the process will begin to move the unit train to Ashley lol.

NSSX = National Salvage and Service Corporation

These gondolas usually come in via CSX.

NS has started to send gondolas of scrap ties in their own cars as well.
