507 passed MP 22.5 at 5:07 pm with three locomotives (trailer was IC 3101 a GP40R) and a very short train.

Should 507 drop off the IC unit in Pontiac and then use that for 513 or 515? Or will they just
keep it on ‘till Flint and leave it there?

I can't say. I just spot them and report them.

It probably is all part of a maintenance cycle for the locally-assigned locomotives as there are no more locomotive houses anymore at most of the yards.

507 with 3101 is going through Durand at 7:13pm going to Flint. Very short train.

21:44 - WB thru East Lansing on M2, 3014 and 2981 leading a manifest. Platform lighting at the station must be down as there are two solar spotlights lighting up the area currently.
At 22:16 it sounded like an M-2 leader went thru campus too. No visual.

Couple of quick notes:

To those who have somehow missed the GT heritage unit that’s been on the L507/L508 rotation since the 17th of December, expect it to remain on that particular train pair until at least the 20th. I’ve been told by a CN crew that they’re keeping the 8952 on the 507/508 rotation out of Flint/Flat Rock AND the R944 job out of Flint because of the donation special (which will be originating out of Flint) on the 20th and want it to stay local, so it doesn’t end up going elsewhere and them ending up not having it for the occasion.

Also, y’all remember the CN caboose that came down on 116 then went back north on L507 later that day before Christmas? The special is the reason why it’s in Flint apparently, ended up on the wrong train, was supposed to go to directly to Flint but somehow ended up in Moterm, no big deal as a train that works Moterm (L507) goes to Flint and they got it that evening.

Train 515 went past MP 22.5 around 7:30 am with what looked like 5447 as power today instead of 5423.

no psgr removed from 365......after seeing the conductor was serious with the threat of removal from the train with the Durand police officer standing behind him, the psgr paid for his ticket......what was funny was the LSA freaking out about the "trespasser walking alongside the train" and making an announcement over the PA to the conductors to let them know while we were stopped there.....that was me walking back to get a cup of ice....smh
