Someone is idling away out back just out of sight at MP 22.5 at 6:44 pm. They may have stalled on the HIll. I would hazard a guess that it is 507 but it was reported earlier that 507 is not running today.
8859 hit a passenger car, according to radio (Broadcastify)... Doesn't appear there were injuries, thus far. Train stopped around mile 24.27.

Edit... this was on Main 2
CN 8859/CN 8952 on L507. The L508 turned at Moterm today because Conrail is shutdown due to the Christmas holiday so they close their rails.

Yes, there is a badly damaged car on the tracks at Opdyke Road. Opdyke Road is still closed. The train, which may just be locomotives as there are no cars near Opdyke, is still there. Very foggy here today.

Train 507 on the move at 8:19 pm passing MP 22.5. Tough Christmas Eve for the crew and the driver.

And this car hit at Opdyke Road in Bloomfield Hills with 507 held up Amtrak 355, which seems to have left Pontiac on time but was stopped between there and here (MP 22.5) until the crossing was cleared of the wreck. It just passed MP 22.5 at 8:49 pm, 3 hours and 11 minutes behind schedule. Poor riders. Poor Amtrak.

Amtrak 353 looks like it is being shoved down the Holly on its way out of Pontiac station this morning. Restricted speed, the horn blowing from the locomotive in the rear. Probably from 354 arriving so late at Pontiac last night and no time to turn it? Or no crew to turn it? Poor Amtrak. And on Christmas Day too. If true they will probably turn it at Milwaukee Junction for the rest of the trip.

Fog makes it hard too see but it almost looks like CP leading a train waiting outside Flat Rock. Parked almost on the sidewalk

CN 3346/CP ###1 on M385 inbound to Flat Rock. They had a drawbar at Smiths Creek on Saturday and had to leave the last 30 racks on the line for L533 or L534 to drag back to Port Huron

LansingRailfan! Where did 385 set out the 30 "Auto Racks?" Did they drop them on the siding between 9 and 8 Mile? Maybe this was the additional train I heard yesterday! Was it local 533 heading north around 1:30 p.m. in Fraser? They don't usually go south of Mount Clemens! The unknown train was ahead of 382! OK, does anyone know if the CP "Military Heritage" unit led a train on the Mt. Clemens Sub. at all yesterday, Christmas Eve? Where did it go? Did it lead on the Holly Sub? Below is about all of this!!!!

I cant come railfanning today, wish I could see that CP Military Heritage Unit on E251.
OK, that CP "Military Heritage Unit" leading a CN unit is not on train E251 (read Graham Halverson's post below)! What train was it on? :?: Maybe an "Extra" E251? Now, I bike rode to Fraser, but unfortunately missed a northbound train about 1:30 p.m. Was this an extra train, or yesterday's 384? Well did that CP engine make it to the Mount Clemens Sub? :?: Does anyone here know? :?: :?: Shucks I missed that if this is the case!!!! Then near Masonic road, shortly after there was northbound train 382! This train had "CN 100" ES44AC #3891, CN ET44AC #3213 and CN ES44AC #3875, 92 cars, 1:45 p.m. My first Christmas Eve train! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder what the deal with E280 is since it seems to be running late. I wonder if they're gonna push to run on the Holly tomorrow at an early hour in the morning or if they've tied down in Battle Creek.

They gave everyone a few hours off this morning. Isn’t that nice of them?

I didn’t watch the cams later so idk if it ran. I know after A492 ran a friend told me there was 4-5 thru Charlotte. We were expecting M302, M396, Z149, B731 and M397. Idk if E280 ran as well

Yeah I figured that's why all the trains were running a little later than usual. I was watching the cams earlier and saw Z149, M397 and M396 go through earlier. Didn't see E280 go through the Charlotte Cam. There is an eastbound lined through there right now, so maybe this is E280? I'll post an update when it passes.

Well OK, LansingRailfan! Not "Panicking" too much! WOW!!!!!!!!!!    Well, the fog made it look like a CP "Military Heritage Unit" leading! Awful blurry/foggy webcam still! OK, what was it then? Still a CP engine? :?: There were some CP engines recently running on CN! Well, looks like no one knows the additional northbound train (shortly ahead of 382) on Christmas Eve, Mt. Clemens Sub! I was close to the tracks, only about a ¾ mile away (Garfield Road/14 Mile)! The fog was so dense I couldn't see that 1st northbound at all! Luckily I caught trains on both Christmas Eve and Christmas for the first time ever!!!! 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 🤪 🤪 🤪 🤪 🤪
