When I came by Clare I could hear a crew working but I didn't see it. CSTN is here working mcbain with a short train. Looks like picking up 1 loaded beam and one empty pole car from the biewer siding and spotting 3 beams 1635

Was surprised to be hearing that 393 is back on the road again. Had not seen it since July 2022. Saw it myself this Monday morning heading south on the lead with only six cars going though Howell at 10:40. 329 was still paired with it. Probably just my imagination but as it was approaching and coming out of a wooded area, it sounded like it was one of the GP38 units. They couldn't have possibly reengined this from the motor formally in wrecked unit 397? If I recall right a main bearing had gone out of 393 causing its shut down.

Currently, have not seen either 390 or 392 for quite some time. Are these two units out of service now?

They have unloaded the pipe in Cohoctah and most recently Owosso. It may be for the I275 project.

It’s a transload genius. They’ll truck it anywhere from there. And duh, we know that I-275 doesn’t go to Cohoctah.

I didn't know that Chip didn't know the pipe was being transloaded and trucked to the project site. Now his comment makes sense and I could have explained it better.

TC run on Wednesday. 2 gons went up, I didn't see what came back down. Petoskey run Friday afternoon as per a Facebook post, long after I left town.

329/383 NB thru Owosso light power at 07:35

08:07 - 383/329 SB thru Owosso with 15ish covered hoppers

08:53 - GLC working in Owosso. They seem to be switching out some of the pipe cars. Those carloads of pipe are for all of the hot moms on the SRI's North Pole Express this year.

09:07-27 - crew is firing up another set of GLC power - smoky
