16:35 - L305-18 WB out of Brighton, just 4228 today, leading my count of 41 cars.

L305 has been running with single unit 4228 since last Wednesday. L302 & L303 has been running elephant style everyday with 341+5242 for well over a week now. Was surprised when you saw the photo of it recently that this was new to you. L305 & L303 currently meeting in Fowlerville at 17:25. L302 will run thru the pass at Howell as 305 left cars parked on the main.

Currently sitting in the Beck road siding in Plymouth is an empty grainer. CSX 720 is leading followed by 138 trailing.

L302 called an Approach Medium for CH 43 and have a R/R/Y (Slow Approach) into Brighton's EE. Green Oak DD says 260 axles and 3,784' - 62 cars, 402 and 263 leading.
17:45 - L302-18 in the siding at Brighton.
18:13 - L303-18 calling CH 49 and thru Brighton's EE by 18:20. Their DD report from Green Oak was 276 axles and 4,000' - 66 cars, 341 and 5242 leading elephant style.
I guess what surprises me is that they obviously wye the power at either end of the trip, so instead of wyeing them every time, why not just wye one engine once and not have to worry anymore?

I believe that Y290 does yard jobs around Grand Rapids, mostly in the industrial spur yards
