In Pontiac Road freight sitting on one of the main tracks. Engines at the terminal starting to move. Looks like they might be making a pick up then will go north. There’s a long string of sand empties.

Wb with 4 cn was stopped at 205 from 0133 until about 5. I'll have to go back and listen to the scanner archive to see what happened. The head end was just past the crossing here when it went into emergency so I dont think it hit a vehicle...

The train that was stopped out here was 251. The engines separated from the consist at stopped over a mile from the rest of the train. The conductor found the knuckle open and everything intact as if someone had lifted the release. Once they got tied back on they were out of time and a relief crew had to be sent. When they got on the train they weren't able to recover their air and had to walk the 12k feet of train. They ended up finding several leaks before they were able to get the air high enough to roll. Sounded like a single up unit off a 270 put their train away in cory then took the power to Pontiac.

Thats what I got out of the radio chatter I heard. When they crossed the 219 251 was talking over it so I couldn't hear the axle count. 450 was there while 270 was working and there was some discussion of why they were just picking the unit up and taking it but for whatever reason they wanted the 2 trains to run separately.
