I heard the dispatcher tell 251 they were waiting for 514 and 274 before departing.

The train was intermodal and and 25 empty autoracks. I assume the guys working know the symbols so I went with it.

274 went to Sarnia today. It’s Suburu straight thru from British Colombia to Toronto

So maybe they had to wait for it to clear wherever it was on the flint sub? Idk.

In one of the CN Facebook groups, a CN employee confirmed that this was indeed a 274 that was routed down the Holly Sub. Passed the Fort St camera in Trenton in the evening.

Cool. I was talking to another CN employee lol. Must have been an X274 then?

Thanks guys for clearing up my 274 question.

We will have to see if this symbol goes down the Holly in the future, but I think its safe to say its not a typical symbol on the Holly Sub right now. 280 is the typical autorack symbol for the Holly Sub. Does anyone know where 276 usually runs from and to? I'm thinking 276 is for Flint, but I am not certain of that. Thanks.

276 will sometimes set racks off in Flint. It otherwise goes to Toronto.

274 is either Honda from IHB Gibson or Suburu from the west coast

Thanks LansingRailfan.

Southbound 116 by Linden at 9:13am. Didn't catch the power or car count, but 394 on the axle count. He did have a few autoracks on the head end.

Speak of the devil. Another 274 ran early to Pontiac this morning.
I’ll be opening up a Corrected Stand somewhere along the flint sub.

This 274 was stacks and racks akin to a Q116. Not sure what they’re doing W these symbols right now but they might be changing.

Hi LansingRailFan. So what I saw this morning at 9:13am was not 116 then, it was 274? I did not see the whole train, but did note autoracks on the head end instead of the tail end. 116 usually has autoracks on the tail end, so racks on the head end was interesting.

Keep us informed LRF (and others), thanks. By the way LRF, what do you mean by you will be opening a Corrected Stand somewhere along the Flint Sub?
