Something is passing through south Lyon d705?
Yup, just heard something in Brighton, my scanner is picking up something but nowhere near clear enough to hear.
I would also guess D705 given the westbound direction. I'm at my house which is about a mile from the tracks, this is what I get for thinking "there's not gonna be a train this morning" and CantBeShook mentioned D705-17 in Plymouth earlier.

d70817 set for noon lansing.
Does this mean they are leaving Lansing, going east at 12:00 noon?

If so, they usually work Howell between 16:00 and 19:00, what do they do between Lansing and Howell in the meantime?
There aren't many industries in that area, is all that time dedicated to the plastics place in Howell/McPherson Industrial Park?

Noon is presumably their on duty time, then they have to put their train together and head east. When they actually leave to head east varies on how much they have to do to get their train together.

No, that means the crew goes on duty at noon. They build their train and switch out the yard. They can also work Rhetec, Excelda, American Chemical and Asahi in Fowlerville, along with Ogihara in Howell before making it to the GLC interchange. They also occasionally run to South Lyon to switch Portec and Peaker Services.

D705 clear Grand Ledge, pair of Tier 4 GE’s leading.

Lots of nice fallen flags in the middle of the train including a Milwaukee Road Pullman hopper, a MN&S Pullman hopper with the diamond logo still on it and a cluster of 4 Cambria and Indiana hoppers. Also appeared to be a C&O gondola with Chessie and Donut logos visible.

Looks like D708 is rolling with just CSXT 5222 today... the big GE has ditchlights on the rear for LHF travel.
