A485 through Crawford Rd. in Columbus @ 16:29. CN 3025 & 3279 with 142 cars. Nice mixed freight today as it had a little bit of everything.

I notice that you identify locations south of the Belle River Valley as "Columbus", however, Rattle Run Rd. is the real Columbus as far as the railroad is concerned. The "Big Hand" location is North Lenox and was identified as such in ETT's until the early 1930's. The Columbus depot occupied the Rattle Run location for over 100 years before being transplanted. It was one of two wooden stations on the line - the other being Chesterfield at 22 Mile - which incidentally was the only depot on the MTC sub which stood on the west side of the mainline. Next time you railfan Rattle Run, know that you are in the ghostly remains of downtown Columbus !

With regard to the train symbols, they will all revert to the "M" series according to what I've been told by CN folks - just not all at once. Also, expect a return of intermodal traffic to the MTC in the new year along with a couple of other surprises...

There's a westbound autorack train, likely somewhere west of Port Huron now, with BCOL 4622 trailing a CN unit. They'll be running a little behind the two mixed freights and intermodal that went west out of PH earlier (sorry, didn't catch any symbols on the scanner).
