08:40 it looked like a MQT crew was knocking the handbrakes off (or locking them down?) the northbound train north of Grant at the Nelson’s Farm crossing with 3 SD40-2s and probably 40-50 cars of mixed freight.

By 11:15, a train was switching out cars in Baldwin. 3389 and 2043 were staged on the Saginaw mainline just east of the west wye switch while the other two units backed at least part of the train onto the old NW wye lead track.

AARR - pretty cool eh? I guess they cleared out the Reid/QD spur 2 weeks ago and pulled the stored coal cars over to Saginaw Yard in preparation for this move.

The JAIL train with the load from Reid is sitting in Mason by the shop Sunday morning.

Any idea where they could be moving the Reid pickup?

I believe the Reid load went south Sunday night. The 2 hoppers came back north Mon morning.

1751/1758 working in Saginaw Yard. Already dropped some cars off in Ensel. Have to pick up one or two as well. Tough to see because yard is pretty full.

JAIL back from work in Saginaw Yard and is in Ensel waiting for D708 to clear out.

Edit 12:52: D708 thru Trowbridge and JAIL has four cars (coil, paperboard boxcar) one stored sand hopper and a stored GATX tank car) crossing CN now SB.

Lake State Z126 doubling up at Mcgrew Yard. LSRC 6301 & 6302.

Guessing on train horns out the window, I think GDLK just worked L&W supply in Grand Rapids and are headed back to Hughart Yard.

JAIL came north to Lansing today to interchange with CSX. Picked up three boxcars for Mason and one coil car. Didn’t see why they dropped off.

They were late getting into town on their Overnight Jackson turn as well but brought back a long cut of coil cars.
