CSX Train Location Updates: July, 2020

CSX 4037 working a rail train at Elmdale as W043. In the work zone. They just got permission back East back onto their train. I guess they just stretched it. Sounds like they have a work train to bring westbound.

CSX 4007 is currently westbound around Fox with Y306 heading back for Wyoming Yard.

08:21 EDT: Q327 departing Grandville. No work at Holland cause he’s already a LANDBARGE. Y306 out around Fox and the Work Train is catching up to him. Nothing from Z151 yet.

W043 will be unloading their MOW equipment train on M2 west of Seymour

09:08 EDT: W043 all stop just beyond Seymour. This is a rail change equipment train and boy have they brought the Calvary of people for it.

Per Bangor chat, q32623 just hit csx trackage nearing the michigan border now. q327 nearing grand junction. w015 from yesterday is down in Brookston IN. n80024 and e80024 in da system. e80123 on duty.

E801-23 @ 12:53pm reported from mp CG28 with BNSF engines #6195 + #5640. Appears Q326 may have taken Grand Junction siding to clear up for E801 since a DD44.2 report wasn't heard.
Q326-23 @ 1:48pm has his signal, siding to main, at the east end Grand Junction mp CG53.9
E801-23 @ 1:53:37pm Bangor Station mp CG60.5 with BNSF engnes #6195 + #5640 & 130 empty coal cars.
Q326-23 @ 2:17pm reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with 348 axles & 4,763 feet long. He has 5 cars to set off at Waverly.
E801-23 @ 3:05pm cleared the St Joseph Bridge.
Q326-23 @ 4:00pm reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with 79 cars.
Amtrak P370-23 @ 9:18pm cleared the St Joseph Bridge with engine #4625.

At approx 11pm, saw lite loco CSXT 345 eastbound at 32nd St in Grand Rapids. Biked out to Ada, and on the return trip, was quite surprised to see the gates going down in front of me just before I got to the crossing, so that was a nice treat. They are lined up to the west end of Lake Odessa. Appears to be cars/MOW in the siding at Elmdale. - edit - is W03521, which is a tie team train. It's grabbing cars out of the siding at Elmdale as of 11:45pm, and supposedly running to Walbridge and onto Garrett.
GDLK Z739 at Sunnyside in Grand Rapids at 11:25pm.

Q327-24 @ 09:42am reported on the move from mp CG28 after picking up 70+ cars from Holland with CSX #3438 is leading. From the earlier DD19.1 report, Q327 may be running with 3 engines: CSX #3438 + #3236 + 1.

D801-23 through St. Joseph at 5:26 pm. CSXT 3315, CSXT 3443, D700 in tow...CSXT 2387,CSXT 6987, 1 coil, 2 boxcars, 1 tank, 2 covered hoppers, and 5 open extended height hoppers (from Hartford.) I took photos of this from the West Basin Marina. Look for them later in the "Trip Reports" section.
