Q326-04 @ 1:36pm reported by the DD at mp Cg19.1 with CSX engine #705 leading & 95 cars & CSX #993 as a rear DPU. At 1:37pm Q326 had declared an emergency & it appears a vehicle may have come in contact with a one of the passing Tank cars. From what I'm hearing on the scanner at 2:18pm Q326 had said they will be moving in about 7 minutes after pictures are taken of the vehicle & the tank car. Q326 had also reported earlier there were no placards on that tank car & engineer stating a few minutes earlier "I'm ok, just a little shook up". Heard at 2:27pm Q326 is getting a new crew.
Q326-04 @ 3:53pm in Grand Rapids.
Update on 6/5/2020: As the (empty milk) tanker truck was stopped, the rear end of it, which was on the train tracks, was hit by a train going eastbound. This had happened at the 72nd Ave crossing mp CG17.47

They've been making meets at Gross a lot lately.

How long ago did they pull the well cars out of the siding? Seems like they had been there for years. I haven't been by there in a while though.
The well cars left some time ago, I think they came up to GR or Hudsonville to clear the siding for meets. Then they parked an empty coal train there for several week during the pandemic but that has since been cleared and put back into service.
Checked thru my notes & prior posts: on April 13, 2020 D801-13 had stored the empty coal cars into Gross Siding. On May 22, 2020 a little after midnight a new crew E800-20 took those empty cars out of Gross & on to Chicago.

Interesting. A few years ago empty coal cars were stored on the Hartford line as well.

hi tom
in reply about moving the well cars from gross to Hudsonville.
the reason I was told was there was to be trackwork done in the siding
as well as switch replacement at the power switches. kirk and waverly siding
were done 4 or 5 years ago. mostly tie replacement.
also mow is working between grand junction and bangor, maybe they couldn't
clear for an hour to let 327 pass.

Hard to hear on the radio because of static. N800-05 is currently going through Coloma. Sounds like BNSF 8493 leading. (Scanner cut out on the number, so it could be 8483....it should be to Bangor on the camera probably between 2:15 pm and 2:20 pm.)
The RA dispatcher (FDK) is coming in loud and clear though. There was a problem with a crossing at Willow Creek, but it is apparently fixed now.

Sounds like they are tying down and cutting the train up at Grand Junction, as there is currently nobody available to get it and shove it up the hill, and take it to West Olive.
