That biomass plant in mcbain changed hands recently which i believe effects their traffic. Also that mean plant in ithaca has really been cranking out material a good portion of the time. They're not only shipping oil and soy meal but receiving grain as well. There was a couple days in the last week or two they had almost no cars then all the sudden the yard was almost full. That may be cars being delayed getting to them. They stay on top of switching that place.LansingRailFan wrote:eyes in the hood have a very large D708 headed east soon. Yes. Plus we've seen cars for ZFS get dropped off to CN in Durand and taken to the AA in Osmer as well. That ZFS facility is cranking out the soybean stuff.KC8RBK wrote:That biomass plant in mcbain changed hands recently which i believe effects their traffic. N800-14 is currently going through Benton Harbor. Sounds like BNSF 9092 leading.
E800-15 is currently stopped with engine trouble, and is contact with the mechanical desk. They are somewhere around Riverside.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: May, 2020
First time in a year and a half + that a RD SLUG has arrived in west Michigan! As a tidbit of history, that #2356 is the former CSXT 4289, originally C&O 3909, an unusual GP39 type unit. Now it's just a slug, giving the crew some rare bit of quiet and no need for a sore neck so they can operate forward in either direction, but today it is on home rails at age 51. I hope it sticks around somewhere for a bit!Q326-15 @ 3:22:55pm at Bangor's Division St crossing mp CG60.93 with CSX engines #3015 + #2356 + #6956 & 107 cars & rear DP CSX #3225.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: May, 2020
Q327-16 @ 08:27 was reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with 612 axles & 8,557 feet long with CSX #3225 leading. From a Bangor viewer near there, he had reported seeing Q327 with a couple of 6 axle & a couple of 4 axle engines. Appears Q327 has the same power from yesterday's Q326: CSX #3225 + #3015 + #2356 + #6956 & 148 cars. He's going into Holland & suspect the CSX #2356 + #6956 will be dropped off there.
Q327-16 @ 10:03am on the move westward reporting from mp CG30.

These same 4 CSX units went westward on today's Q327-16 at Bangor at 10:56:44am. I was thinking they were going to drop off the CSX #6956 + #2356 in Holland this morning.GP30M4216 wrote:First time in a year and a half + that a RD SLUG has arrived in west Michigan! Hi davey, as of 1:16pm, Q326-16 is waiting on the St Joe Bridge for boat traffic to clear up. I don't think there will be a X326, since there wasn't an early Q326 this morning.dave989 wrote:Any info on Q326-16 and will there be an X today?
