Train 515 has EJE 657 today. It passed MP 22.5 SB with a fairly long train at 8:35 am, again a bit earlier than usual.Manistique wrote: » Thurs Apr 02, 2020
There was an evening local 515 that went SB around 10 pm with EJE 657 and a few cars.
Alright Manistique, I am glad "The J" unit is back working on the Holly Sub. Now, living in Roseville, I will have to watch the board for a morning southbound "Train 515"
if it's using "EJE SD38-2 #657!!!!" Then I can catch the northbound later in the afternoon!!!!

Good news, CN 658 is spotting box cars at Great Lakes Recycling scrap paper in Fraser on Mt. Clemens Sub. Last I heard this was an inactive customer so it’s a pleasant surprise. There are about a dozen cars in it’s consist including cars that look like they come from the bulk transload at 8 Mile Rd. so I wonder if this train started in Pontiac rather than Port Huron?

L533 worked south from PH to Detroit yesterday - never returned to Port Huron - went dead at East Yard. Great Lakes has been receiving cars again for a little while. The tanks are from Sarnia related business which are hauled back and forth to East Yard for interchange with L515 out of Pontiac. Current L533 customers are Carter Lumber, B&D Drywall, Chrysler/FCA and Great Lakes Recycling - in addition to interchange traffic for East Yard.AARR wrote:Good news, CN 658 is spotting box cars at Great Lakes Recycling scrap paper in Fraser on Mt. Re: CN Updates April 2020
Train 251, or so it seemed, went past MP 22.5 at 2:40 pm with CN 3048 and 3069 and a fairly long train with not one autorack. Maybe this was Train 401 at a different time? Or a combined trains 251/401? It did have a lot of sand cars on it. And a lot of cars on the head end that looked like for Pontiac.
And following right behind him is returning NB 515 at 2:52 pm.

Well, I feel awful!!!! Yesterday was my long bikeride and I only caught "Regular CN" engines! I didn't even look at the board or even go to the tracks today!!!! Hopefully "EJE SD38-2 #658" will come back soon!!!! Man, I would have liked to see that at GLR!!!!
EDIT: EJE SD38-2 #652 is in CN paint and no longer "Orange!!!!" Here's a photo (©Jacob Rink), 12/19/2017, Chambersburg, PA:
