There was a SB that followed Amtrak 351 down the Hill this morning. I presume it was 402. I didn't see it but it was a long train.

I probably shouldn't say this but....WAY TO GO CN (regarding the 213 car 401-Sand Train Combo). I guess CN cares more about their bottom line than using 2 crews and 2 trains, which would have been a better idea in our current situation by keeping those crews working. For companies and industries that are working like the railroads, we need to keep them working so the economy can continue to limp along. Just my opinion. Now in all fairness, and trying to look at it from another perspective, maybe there wasn't 2 crews available at the time, or maybe even the railroads are limiting the work that must be done, thereby, in this case, combining 2 trains into one, but on the surface I can't help feeling this way. (Sorry). In the grand scheme of things, who cares about what I just said because people are dying, so I'm sorry again.

The empty sand cars normally go from Toledo to Battle Creek on 401.

401 is mostly empties each night so it wasn't heavy enough to split it up.

Its not uncommon either. I used to see the coal empties from Whiting on 391 often enough until Consumers shuttered the plant.

Train 515 with 5416 again just passed MP 22.5 at 9:56 am with a rather long train. It still is moving a lot of loaded centerbeams so the housing market must still be in business.
